Soooooooooooo... started ordering from them over the spring of this year. Today is my last day. Although, they are pricey. The food always seems fresh. They deliver and the are close to me. Today I ordered House fried rice and sweet and Sour chicken with sauce on the side. My instructions with the house rice only because I don't eat pork nor shell fish (shrimp). I asked for those items to be removed also no egg. In my experience the only remaining item would be beef and chicken. I figured no problem because they are actually getting to ommitt 3 items. Which is in their favor. The driver arrives with the food and says, " My boss wanted me to tell you. The next time you order that way. We have to charge you an additional $2." My response is how would that be? I am actually cheating myself out of ingredients. He then informs me the house rice doesn't come with beef. Soooooooooo... I have 1 ingredient and you are charging me $2 extra on top of the $13 I paid for with 1 ingredient. He says, "No we charged you the price of the chicken fried rice." So, why am I being charged extra. 🤔 it still doesn't make sense. If, it's a problem that I am omitting ingredients you all are keeping. Where does the extra come in? Is it because everything is pre-made? So, you all have to make a fresh order because I don't want those ingredients? Even still you are keeping other ingredients. If, I ask for egg to be left out. You are keeping 1 ingredient if it's chicken fried rice with no egg. So, let's just say. That is my last order. Not to mention I order from the pretty regular. For now on I will make my own rice. Which this batch by the way was bland.. they usually use chicken breast the used chicken thighs. And the sweet and sour chicken was chewy and room temperature....
Read moreYesterday my family and I were on our way to a restaurant after taking our son to Karate Class so midway we decided to just do take out so we google Chinese places nearby and this place Far East Chinese Cuisine came up. When we got there we walked in we were greeted and all the people were polite this was our first time there. They took our order and first off I want to say the Salted Spicy Wings are the best!..I'm so glad we ordered two orders of them wings because they were so good I just had to have more. I also ordered the general Tso Chicken and I have to say it was very delicious as well as the Chicken fired rice and the Chicken and Broccoli. The food was very flavorful and if your feeling like Chinese food but don't want to go out they actually deliver!! One thing I really like is that they care about and know how to package food. We had a 15 minute trip home and once we got home the Salted Spicy Wings were still hot and very crunchy I was like how are they still crunchy and I noticed they put holes in the corners of the container to allow the moisture of the steam escape leaving the chicken as if it just came out of the fryer so if your planing to order to have your food delivered you don't have to worry about the quality of the food being different from the time it came out of the fryers. This place is very clean and the food far exceeded our expectations and the quality of the food was 5 star restaurant quality. I will definitely order...
Read moreAdmiring the view of Wissahickon Ave from the window of Far East as I wait for my takeout for dinner tonight. M My very first visit was on a lunch break when I was undecided on what I should get. I remembered there was a new spot in walking distance. I was not expecting the open floor concept for a takeout jawn. That mildly impressed me. Also the smells were inviting and made my mouth water. I got the Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. The ingredients were tasty and fresh tasting not over sturated with oil. The rice was not sticky. And the chicken was not spongy. Overall I def am looking forward to adding Far East to my Google Eats List but dont just take my word for...
