Fireside Tavern — Restaurant in Philadelphia

We stopped in for a quick bite and drink at Fireside Tavern. It felt like a local bar but had very welcoming staff that greeted us as soon as we entered. For the table, we ordered crabby fries, mozzarella sticks, and buffalo wings. The chef even came out to make sure there were no adjustments prior to firing up the food. Everything tasted pretty good. The wings were fried well and the mozzarella sticks were massive. If I knew the crabby fries were only just a regular order of fries with Old Bay I may have gone a different direction but the rest of the group didn’t mind them.

Worst experience I've ever had, the bartender wouldn't stop playing lottery games to serve drinks. After 20 minutes of waiting, she walked to the bar to serve herself a drink. I asked her if she could serve me too, and she became extremely belligerent. I tried to defuse the situation, but she became more hostile. As I was walking out of the bar, she ran up on me and sprayed me and my girlfriend with pepper spray. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced. My girlfriend is traumatized. Rude and hostile to anyone they don't know. If you aren't part of their special "we've lived here 100 years" club, and your mom mom went to school with theirs, they won't give you the time of day. Service was bad. It's dirty and it stinks too. I didn't try the food bc I was worried about the cleanliness.
