Wish I could leave no stars. Went back after having the below experience. Please check out the photos of the chicken quesadilla which cost $10. I can’t believe a restaurant would really find that acceptable to give to a person let alone charge $10! The chicken looks like it was added after the cheese got hard and it fell out of the tortilla. Ridiculous!
There was a mix up this morning when I was ordering my food at 4:15AM. I was told it would take 15 to 20 minutes and in the end I waited well over an hour in the diner waiting for the food to be made. A nice man bringing out the fresh bakery goods was the one who finally said to the cashier that I had been waiting to long. That was when the cashier and sever realized the food was never made. The cashier and sever did the best they could to fix the situation and for that I am thankful. The food was delicious. I had order the open face Ruben, chicken quesadilla, breakfast sandwich, and French toast. Definitely recommend all of the above. ** Pumpkin Cheesecake was AMAZING
The major issue was that the manager who was there the whole time never once spoke to me. He was there the whole time I was waiting and couldn’t be bothered to come over and apologize or say anything. The staff was able to fix the problem with little to no help from him. I know it was early morning but that isn’t an excuse to treat customers differently. Especially when there was a problem. Thank you again to the staff.
Food was delicious but the absent minded manager is the reason I...
Read moreI was with a group, and fortunately for me, I didn't have to wait half an hour to be seated because I was driving from the North East of Philadelphia.
Knowing the diner was already a hotspot and it being remodeled a couple of years back makes the effort to go that much more enjoyable. My family told me the wait wasn't as bad as they were expecting. So I'm happy that their experience wasn't frustrating.
I arrived just minutes before our food was being served. I had messaged my sister the food I wanted far in advance, and my family and I received everything we wanted when we were served. A mix of heavy and mid-weight breakfast dishes and we all got to sample each other's plate, it was a LOT!
The food presentation and waitress/waiter serving were well prepared! Everything was brought to our table area all at once! The food was just as DELICIOUS as past visits to this Diner!!
If you want quality food and excellent service, this is the Diner you need to go to! BE WARNED, they're usually Very busy on the weekends so it would be best to book tables and seats a week in advance (depending on group size)!!
And it's definitely worth the time, travel, and effort to come here!! PLEASE remember to TIP your Waitresses and Waiters, the wages they earn don't cover Etiquette and Patience. They deserve the Respect you would give your own family for the Service they provide to deliver your drinks and food!!!
I hope this review is helpful and that your own experience here...
Read moreWe dined at the Oregon Diner last night after the Savannah Bananas baseball game, and I have to say, the service was impressive. The staff was not only friendly but also attentive. The portion sizes? Enormous! They certainly know how to serve up generous helpings at the Oregon Diner.
I ordered the Pepper Jake burger, and it delivered; it was quite good. My wife, on the other hand, chose the chicken croquettes, which fell short of expectations due to an off-putting floral taste. These were far from the traditional chicken croquettes one would anticipate.
My oldest daughter opted for "dippy" eggs, specifically requesting them over light. Unfortunately, when they arrived, they were fried hard—definitely not what she expected. The rest of her meal was acceptable, though. My youngest daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs and had a great experience with that dish.
Overall, I would classify it as a typical diner experience—three stars. The staff was commendable, the portions were generous, and the food was adequate. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, I would not...
