Gigi & Big R — Restaurant in Philadelphia

4/15/2016, 2:00 p.m. I'm not sure who was working on the Gigi and Big R truck across from 30th St Station but he should be fired. The 3 wings were the worst I've ever had since I've been going to the truck. The wings were so greasy and fatty that it was disgusting. I actually only ate a 1.5 of the 3 wings only b/c I was so hungry otherwise I would have taken the food back to the truck. I wanted fish but he was out of bread so I took the wings as an alternative and it was a big mistake. I totally forgot that the cooks pre-cook the wings to save time and put them back in the grease when a customer makes and order. Haven’t been to GiGi’s in a minute and I see why. So today For starters the lady at the front has the worst attitude and customer service. Their platters went up in pricing and got smaller. I ordered and got my food. I questioned about the portion size. She told me to hold on while she takes the other person order. The customer asked to make sure they had enough oxtails. Stated that they ordered a large last time and barely got any food. Same issue with me. I ended up walking out with the other customers because she refused to give me my money back. Not to mention it’s not as flavorful as before. Other soul food spots in west philly that you are better off going to.

I wish I could give it zero stars. They are very rude, I use to eat from them 10 years ago and they were on point. Now the food taste different they put carrots in the potato salad. They want to give you what they want instead of what you asked for. I asked for ketchup and hot sauce on my shrimp. When I open the container there was nothing on the shrimp when I went back to the counter to let her know she did not put what I asked for on the shrimp she tells me I gave you shrimp sauce. I did not ask for shrimp sauce nor did she write that down for my order what she did write did write was ketchup and hot sauce.
