Save A Lot — Local services in Philadelphia

Very small store so not a lot of choices for a full shopping. This location Sav-A-Lot is for cheap quick grabs for the household. There are always long lines and the customer service is subpar even from management. It's a neighborhood store so there are always people hanging around the door disturbing shoppers And are never asked to leave by LP in store that is near the front as well. At my last visit the savings ads and circular were said to be incorrect by management with many mistakes yet they did not fix the pricing and I had to put most of my things back because "customers should know those aren't the right prices" You'd think they just wouldn't hand out the circulars to make it easier on the employees and customers but No! The food isn't fresh and goes back very quickly within two days my grapes and bananas (which all the way ripe when brought) became moldy. MAY 11, 2021. ONE OF YOUR WORKERS WHO PLAINLY STATED THAT SHE WAS ORIGINALLY A CASHIER... BUT HAD BEEN ASKED TO WORK PLACING MEAT IN THE MEAT FREEZERS FOR THE DAY... "(CURSED)" A CUSTOMER OUT... AS "(LOUD)" AS SHE COULD... BECAUSE HE ASKED HER TO MOVE OUT OF HIS WAY... WHILE SHE WAS MANEUVERING THE MEAT CART... SHE WAS SO TOTALLY "(LOST)" IN HER "(CURSE)" WORDS THAT SHE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HER OWN "(SAFETY)" ... OR THE "(SAFETY)" OF THE SHOPPING CUSTOMERS. IN OUR WORLD TODAY WE HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO "(PROVOKE)" PEOPLE... IT COULD HAVE ENDED IN A GREAT DEAL OF "(VIOLENCE)"... This save a lot is my favorite market. The employees are knowledgeable and for the most part, engaging. The best part of the shopping is typically the music. The old school R&B is always on point. I get my shopping done while singing. It’s the motivation I need to get ready to cook when I get home. I go home and keep the same vibe going. I went on Wednesday and there was weird elevator or pop music on. I thought it was an isolated incident. I went back today for a quick purchase and the music was the same. I was disappointed. Other customers noticed as well. This market is in a primarily African American neighborhood. The music was a joy to the community who support the revenue.
