I ride a bike 30 minutes from Center Citu to get there at 745 pm as I read that they close at 8 pm. Lock my bike and go inside. The tall middle aged Manager tells me that they took their last order and that I can take a menu and return when they open tomorrow. I explain I came quite a ways. He says he understands but kitchen is closed. I stew a few minutes, gather my things but return. A young man comes over as the man from earlier takes out trash. I explain to him my grievance. Young man says they always have to stop orders in order to get out. I ask does it say that online? The middle age man had returned and having heard the last minute asks Didn't I speak to you earlier? What is the problen? I say I was hoping to know when Ownet is in because I call myself supporting Nation of Islam owned, but feel you aren't supporting me. He says No!. We not doing all that. The young man cosigns with you ain't the only customer. We would be here all night. The tall man says We have to eat too. I speak to the older man telling him Say no more. You have to eat too.. You not doing all that.. I just want to make sure when I start writing I quote you right. He said For sure. Appreciate your business. Like I said tomorrow. Now the subjective. He don't ever ever ever have to worry about me in his store. I wouldn't eat it if it was free. Darn shame you have to go to Chinese restaurant with Chinesr people to get some respect. Halal Fusion used to be one of my favorite places to order from but unfortunately, they fell off bad. I was in denial for a while & would take a break off of them & then give them another chance in hopes that my previous experience was just a bad day for them & my food wood would be on the same level as when they 1st opened. Sadly, it gets worse every time I order. Tonight’s order knocked me out of denial & I won’t be ordering anything except wings from here. I had beef fried rice with 4 halal wings. The wings were ok but Beef fried rice was disgusting. Clumps of oily yellow rice with no type of flavor, not so fresh bean sprouts, no onions or any other vegetables, & unidentifiable meat. Some of the meat looked brown but most of it looked black or gray. Nothing about it smelled beefy. The bean sprouts were brown where the green sprout should be & you could tell that they probably weren’t too fresh before they were cooked. So I order my food online for here and the eta after paying was 102mins. So I went the actual location to check and ensure that timing was correct. The lady at the front informed me yes it was correct. Which was EXTREMELY odd due to the store it self closed in about 80mins. She was very nice though and she told me so can ensure to have it done in 45-50mins instead and to come back, so I did that and 38mins into my wait. I received an email saying my order has been canceled. So overall I never got the food, & paying $15 for 4 wings and fried rice was pushing it, but I have had some of their food from form my sister once before, which was the reason I wanted to try them again. I won’t lie their fusion sauce is good so that’s why the cost was higher as well. This place has the potential to be great and is super busy so keep that in mind. From the wait, customer service and food the high volume of demand plays a big part on things here. It definitely kilt my whole vibe that day lol I was so salty bcus I was STARVING but I wish them and your experience better luck then mines...
