Hot Cup Coffee & Sushi — Restaurant in Philadelphia

First of all there was not a single person in the register. We didn’t know whether to sit down or wait for someone the come. Then someone came out of the kitchen after 5 minutes and he didn’t say hi or anything. After we sat down, we had to ask for the menu and they had to search for the menu before they give us one menu to share between three people. Steak tastes okay, the udon chicken noodle they put way too much soy sauce. We asked the server if the fries came with the steak as side and he said yes, but they still charge us for the fries. So when we asked the lady she said that the fries don’t came with the steak and we had to pay for it. Don’t know why but they saw it fit to charge us with ‘(10% service charge)’ on a three people dine, even though the service wasn’t that good. I heard that some restaurants charge ‘service charges’ if it’s more than 6 or 7 which is okay. But it’s depend on us to how much to tip for the service. Overall we aren’t happy with...

I love Hot Cup! They have great food and a beautiful atmosphere. Ever since this place opened I consistently come here for the amazing steaks, burgers, mojitos, coffees and teas. Customer service is always exceptional when I am there and the server is the nicest person in the world and she speaks amazing English and always gets my order right! She is very respectful and always tries her best to understand and listen to what I want to order! The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly! The food is amazing and I come here with my friends often and also treat myself every weekend to their food and Moroccan Tea! I recently visited a sushi cafe in Philadelphia and was pleasantly surprised. The friendly staff, modern interior, and diverse menu create a great atmosphere. The sushi and rolls are fresh and delicious, and I especially enjoyed the Philadelphia roll with eel and salmon! The portions are large, and the presentation of the dishes is aesthetic.
