THUMBS DOWN! The original owner, Jaggie passed away suddenly. When these people re-opened it, as a 2 decade regular of Jaggie's I asked the "guy" if he was related to Jaggie & he said, "I'm Jaggie part 2." I laughed, even though I felt it was disrespectful because of the way he said it. Anyhoo, I proceeded to buy 4 platters for my family. I was HIGHLY DISPLEASED. A month later I came back to give them a 2nd chance and the food was even WORSE!! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU CHANGE JAGGIE'S RECIPES ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY WERE AUTHENTIC AND DELICIOUS??!!! Both times I was the only one in the restaurant and it took 12mins to package my food. The jerk chicken was NOT grilled, was dry & flavorLESS, the rice & peas were dry & bland & the cabbage was mushy & overcooked. Not to mention, both times they were out of fried dumplings. My plantains were greasy and wilted. As an American, I cannot believe that you have done away with the authenticity that Jaggie's is famously known for. I'm sure you're NOT getting the same support from fellow Jamaicans & Caribbean brothers & sisters as well as the American supporters that our beloved Jaggie had. Good portion sizes and menu options allow customers to chose combo platters with more than one kind of meat, but the food just isn't flavorful. Made my third or fourth visit ever today for take out dinner. No rice and peas or plantains. No curry goat gravy for the curry goat. Great prices, large portions. I can get a small platter and eat some, put it away and come back for leftovers, full both times. food is always fresh. I’m in love with the stew chicken.
