As someone who’s half Korean and half Mexican, I’ve always been a little skeptical about Korean-Mexican fusion, especially since I grew up with these cuisines served separately. I’ve tried a few K-Mex spots in LA and NYC and always felt let down. But Korea Taqueria completely changed my perspective. This place is innovative, authentic, and truly sets the standard for K-Mex fusion. My absolute favorites on the menu are the gochujang al pastor and the beef and shrimp birria tacos, both are bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. I’m also impressed by the quality of the food, service, and vibe of the new Fishtown location. It’s on a charming cobblestone street overlooking a skate park and a basketball court. Perfect spot to enjoy amazing food and people-watch.
Highly highly recommend Korea Taqueria if you’re curious about K-Mex...

EDIT - The restaurant reached out to discuss my concerns with my order and offered a remake. I was content with how responsive they were and took them up on their offer. The shrimp was much better in the reorder and I thoroughly enjoyed. I still stand by my thoughts on the guacamole and chips. Overall, the food is...

I politely asked the girl at the counter about the price discrepancy, and she became visibly frustrated. It was clear she’s had to explain this exact issue to multiple customers before and is completely fed up with it. I don’t blame her — I blame the management for creating a menu that sets staff up for daily conflict.
This isn’t a small misunderstanding — it’s a poorly designed menu at best, or a bait-and-switch tactic at worst. Either way, it left a bad taste in my mouth (and not...
