We got a square and a circle pizza to go. Since a pizza has to be eaten while hot, and takeout is the only option, we ate our pizzas on the trunk of our car, right outside of the pizzeria. The circle pizza had a wonderful, bold tasting sauce, complemented with a nice blend of cheese! Very easy to eat! The crust was very crisp throughout the entire slice, which is a rarity these days! A great pizza all around! I definitely enjoyed the circle pie, and although a pit pricey, I would absolutely go back for another! The square pie was a lot smaller than the round pie (only six slices). It is also a deep dish pizza, which although I usually stay away from, I'm glad I didn't in this case. Like the circle pie, the sauce on the square pie was extremely full of flavor, but seemed to have a bit more garlic. I thought there was a little too much cheese, as the square pie was a tad on the greasy side. However, it was still better than a lot of the traditional pizzas I've had! Circle and Squares is definitely a unique neighborhood pizza place, but fantastic none the less! The pizza is on the expensive side, but worth it I'm my opinion! Absolutely give this place a try!!

Holy cow! We stopped by here to pick up a pizza while we were bar hopping. Maybe it was the alcohol but oh man- this pizza was so freaking delicious! My mouth is watering as I am writing this review. We got the pepperoni pizza and it was so simple yet flavorful! The light cheese paired with the ribbons of basil and crunchy pepperoni were a match made in heaven. The crust was nice and crunchy and was not too floppy. I personally don’t like traditional thin crust nor too dense but this was perfect in between both while maintaining the chewy texture. I even ate the crust which I don’t normally eat. We did order online so I am not sure about wait time if you were to order at the window. I am also unsure if they have an indoor spot but I do recall there were a couple of tables right outside the pick up window.

There are a lot of Detroit joints these days but this is the best that I've had. What I love about it is that as much as it looks like a super heavy deep dish pie, the base dough is actually quite light and airy and because that's about 2/3 of the bite it's actually pleasant to eat, unlike the aforementioned Chicago monstrosity. The cheese that caramelizes around the edges also adds additional texture and tastes like those addictive parmesan sticks you eat around the holidays. I don't think they have a phone, and on the night we visited we were there 20 minutes before open and there were about 8 other people in front of us already. I guess the word is out! Half anchovy, half pepperoni pie shown in picture; highly recommended.

The food here is made like the chef made it for himself. Flavors and techniques meld into what are on the surface simple dishes but done so well. The signature square pies are light and airy pushing all the aroma of the garlic, olive oil in each bite and when you get to the “crust” it is a perfectly cooked crown of crispy fried cheese that tastes like what I imagine angel’s fingers would taste like. The signature circle pies are classics with a nice baked thin dough that is just a vessel for the delicious red sauce and whole milk mozzarella.

Newer dishes like the cheesesteak remind me why the word STEAK is in the name having a sliced steak taste rather than the basket frozen meats a lot of other places use.

Lastly their Cesar salad is so filling and very delicious with the freshly graded parmesan acting like a soft blanket before shaking up the house made dressing and devouring the whole thing mindlessly in nirvana.

I definitely recommend starting with the square pies and then working...

Circles + Squares is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk up to the takeout window, you can feel the positive vibes and warmth of this place. In a neighborhood (and city) with superior pizza of all different shapes and varieties, Circles + Squares is hands down top-tier. But that's not all—their wings are out-of-this-world are meticulously fried and perfectly delicious, and the cheesesteaks are always fantastic.
