After spending a day in Ridley Creek State Park heading home back into the city. We wanted to choose a place that we haven’t been to. We were looking for a place with regular food and vegan options. My friend suggested taking a ride into the West Philadelphia Cobbs Creek area as there are constantly new businesses popping up. Coming down West Chester Pike and making our way over to Baltimore Avenue was our plan on cobs Creek Parkway. We came across a restaurant called machos delish mix. I’ve been past this place numerous times and never took notice to it. I don’t know how because it stands out, so I immediately stopped once I saw Rice bowls, and smoothies, knowing that I think there would be something in there for both of us I have to tell you I couldn’t be more happy that we stopped there because this place was fantastic numerous vegan options as well as regular food items were available here, including some great smoothies in açai bowls. This is a really nice place. It has nice outdoor seating and it’s decorated very nicely on the inside and I like the fact that it’s in a neighborhood rather than in Center City where you’ll find most vegan restaurants the staff here is extremely friendly and all our in tune with what’s on the menu And the ingredients.' There’s no guest work here as I have found that in places that have vegan options. Sometimes you roll the dice a little bit not here what a genius idea this place is I’ll be posting the menus. They do have a website online that you can look at many options For vegetarian vegans and regular every day eaters my friend chose salad bowl that consisted of purple, black, forbidden rice, kale, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted beets, chard, corn, green peppers, chickpeas, barbecue tofu, sautéed mushrooms, avocado, and chipotle, lime dressing, while I’m not a big fan of kale for the most part in salads. This one was extremely good the best I’ve had in each item that was built into this bowl from our choosing was seasoned perfectly. This is a very good value for the size bowl that they give you for myself I chose a vegan wrap made from the menu item called the Iverson bowl. I swapped out the kale for Romain lettuce I had put in barbecue tofu black beans, brown rice, red onions, Red cabbage, roasted artichokes and roasted broccoli what a huge portion this was I added chipotle lime dressing. This was absolutely delicious. I can’t believe I’ve missed this place and can’t wait to get back here, I need to make another mention of the , extremely friendly folks and offered samples of smoothies and the açai bowls, which was really nice to see, and they were absolutely delicious. on the way out i met the co-owner Sheldon who is also A MILITARY VET what a nice guy, with million dollar smile, thank you for such a great business!

This was a first time visit and I wasn’t pleased at all with my experience! Social media content creators really hyped this place up and so badly I wanted to like it. When walking into the environment we weren’t even welcomed, or greeted by the staff. You have to place your order in the back of the store which nobody informs you of as first timer. My chicken tacos were served to me 100% COLD, but suppose to be fresh cooked meat off of the grill. The chicken was BLAND, no flavor to it, no seasonings to it whatsoever on the meat! My tacos were just “fresh” ingredients placed on a soft tortilla shell and that’s it! The fruit smoothie I got was good, but they charged me $10 for a smoothie that was suppose to be a size large in a size medium cup. First time impressions especially with 2 items I spent $24 on are everything. It was a one and done situation for me. It reminds me of elementary school cafeteria food at best.

Was in Upper Darby and wanted to grab some food before I went home. This place came up on my Google search so I stopped by. It’s a cute spot that was obviously well known as they were pretty busy when I went during lunch time. Regardless I was able to get serviced pretty quickly. You can order at the counter or they have a kiosk where you can place an order similar to Honeygrow. They assemble the food in front of you food similar to Chipotle or Cava. I ordered the South Philly special (bowl) with purple rice and a strawberry dragonfruit drink. The bowl was good, but I think I would choose a different dressing than the one that comes with it next time. I was asked what dressing I wanted, but I figured I would try it as is. The drink was delicious, not too sweet but still very flavorful. I would definitely get it again.

Usually Macho’s is a hit, hit, hit!! And I’ve only had it 3 times, this particular time being my 3rd I get the same thing loaded nachos! Last two times it was bomb as hell I’m talking the chips was smacking everything tasted amazing and I had to put my friend on!! Second time I got it delivered because I wasn’t in the area, food was aight but nothing like that first time ya’know? And normally I have chips left over from the nachos a good chunk because they make it so good and everything is as it should be, this time nawllllllll😭 I went 7/29/25 around 6:20 ish maybe, a couple people in there so it wasn’t too crazy, boom order on the self serve, nachos no beans, ground beef the usual.. I’m in in line watching them make it, not really saying much cuz they get the tickets, but the woman working seemed like she ain’t know what I want so I repeated it back and even pointed to the ticket, which she took and was rereading as she was making it. She doing her one two and I’m just on my phone waiting for it to be done, boom get done I go back home like a calm 6-7 minutes drive.. I’m ready to buss down open it and I already peeped something was wrong, it wasn’t present or representing how it usually is so pull the paper back and I already know It wasn’t wort $15 dollars that day. So I pick up a chip put a lil meat on it and some cheese, mind you I had to really find the meat cuz it was barely some it and now I’m ready to take my first bite. Yall I bit it.. and was chewing for a good 2 minutes, why the nachos was like soft and hard like they been siting, mind you it ain’t even been 10 minutes from leaving with my food cuz I live about 6 minutes away by car. So I’m like damn bad chip, take another bite and it’s the same texture then the meat got a nerve to be flavorless and greasy. Long story short, my jaw hurt from how hard I had to chew and I’m honestly disappointed and maybe a lil disgusted cuz it was lowkey nasty and still wanted to go back for nachos cuz I know this not Machos last two times was HITTING!! Bayanging in fact! Not the machos I know! So I ate like half and gave the rest to my sister cuz it was either barely any chips or them jawns was just messed up from sitting too long. Most likely the first tho. If you see this Macho do better, matter fact let me come back and get my nachos on the house. I’m about to leave for college and I don’t want us on...

They don't even deserve the 1 star I HAD to give. I saw this place on Tik Tok and couldn't wait to try. Thoroughly disappointed in the service received as a 1st time customer. 6/29/25 I placed an over the phone order for a smoothie, a lady took the call. 15 mins later I show up for my order everyone in the store is saying they don't have my order, who took your order, blah blah blah. I explained 3x it was over the phone placed 15 mins earlier and woman took the call. They asked if I wanted them to make me one now I said NO, it shoulda been made when I called, and yall not getting my service now. I walk to the car to leave. Then as we're pulling off they run out and say "we have your order. The girl who took it was in the bathroom and she didn't tell us it was made". I said keep it. I don't have time for game playing and running back and forth. Too much. I said this is a terrible 1at impression. Then the Black dude says "yea on both parts". I kindly said to him how you gon gaslight me and say "I" was the problem when yall didn't have my order, everybody playing dumb like they don't know what Im saying, no proof you took my order, and then as Im leaving say "oh we got your order here. It was misplaced". I don't got time for that. And this is why we have to be choosey on the Black businesses you support cause these the results you get. 0/10....
