I went to this establishment because I had a taste for fish, I was surprised it was black owned which was even better because I support my people. It didn't look like it had much in there. I asked the guy if he had any flounder, he said 2 pieces, this should have been a red flag (why do you only have 2 pieces of flounder left at 3pm) but ok., He said it was enough for a platter. So, I ordered the flounder platter. The platter should have been 15.00 instead I was charged 19.00, when I get home and opened the platter it was small pieces of fish broken up to make it look more than it should have been, He tried to disguise flounder with whiting fish when he said there was enough flounder for a platter! The platter was sad looking and not good. Not only was i overcharged but it just wasn't good! I think the place is closed for good as it should be! I believe the owner was not having a good day because he was truly unprofessional. He told me all my questions will be answered right on his website if I have any questions go straight there. Which my answer was not there, the reason of my call. When I came into the establishment he told me if I can read I can read his menu and place an order. So that let me know this is not where I want to spend my money. I than requested a refund and he told me since I ordered online, which is where I was directed to go, he doesn't know how to give me a refund. I try my hardest to support black businesses but the first impression is always the best impression. Read moreI pass by this place several times a week and never noticed people coming in out. I was skeptical to try. I ordered flounder platters and a snow crab/mussel platter for carry out. The fish was well seasoned and fried super crispy without a heavy breading. I didn't need any condiments on my fish (that's how good it was). Even the coleslaw that came with it had a good flavor. The crab & mussels were cooked and seasoned well also. I think the prices are a little high, but at least you are paying for good food. I waited exactly 23 min for my order (the estimated time I was given was 20). I only noticed one person cooking and taking orders, and a few people had come in to order or pick up while I was there.
