I'VE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR QUITE SOMETIME SO I'M GONNA CHALK THIS LAST EXPERIENCE AS A FLUKE. I ORDERED A DOZEN CHICKEN WINGS, LARGE ONION RINGS & 1/2 PINT OF SEAFOOD SALAD & 2 SODAS MY BILL WAS $26.95. I ARRIVED PICKED UP MY ORDER, WHEN I MADE MY FIRST MISTAKE. I DIDN'T LOOK AT OR CHECK MY ORDER!! ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TAKE OUT ORDER, ALWAYS. WHEN I ARRIVED AT MY DESTINATION, ONLY 15 MINUTES AWAY I OPENED MY FOOD ANTICIPATING CRISP, FLAVORED FRIED CHICKEN WINGS WHICH I'VE HAD BEFORE & CRUNCHY LARGE BATTERD FRIED ONION RINGS. MUCH TO MY DISMAY THE WINGS WERE VERY SMALL, DARK, OVERCOOKED, DRY & BLAND. THE ONION RINGS WERE OILY & SATURATED WITH COOKING OIL AS IF THEY SAT IN OIL THAT WASN'T HOT. THEY WERE CHEWY LIKE RUBBER AND OTHERWISE INEDIBLE. I WAS THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED 😭 IN THE QUALITY, FRESHNESS,& TASTE OF THIS FOOD. HAD I NOT BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF ANNIES I KNOW I WOULD NOT RETURN, BUT I DID NOT SEE THIER REGULAR STAFF SO I PLAN ON RETURNING TO VERBALLY & PERSONALLY ISSUE MY COMPLAINTS & COMMENTS REGARDING MY 1/8/21 EXPERIENCE. Annie's Seafood has been around probably as long as I've been alive (30+ years). They changed management a couple of years ago but is still in the family. The seafood here is very, very, very good. The shrimp, the crabs, the muscles, everything. They have a section for foods you want steamed and seasoned or just plain raw and then a separate section for foods that are pre-seasoned and breaded for frying. Their seafood, of course, comes in fresh daily. The people there are kind and helpful; anyone of them will take your order. The establishment itself has always been clean and you get your food pretty quickly. I just ordered a dozen and a half of large crabs that i shared with my brother and we tore those things UP!! Had my first bad experience here. I won’t be going back. Ordered a doz of med male blue crabs. Normally I get them live but decided to get them cooked this time. Took a 25-30 min ride home. Just to discover the crabs were bad. I mean they smelled bad. No amount of old bay could hide that smell. I guess when you’re buying cooked they can give you what they want (dead, alive, old) smh i called they were willing to remake them but I got live crabs instead. I guess it was the owner’s comment that will keep me from patronizing their business. He says “ no more extra extra for you” when giving me the live crabs.
