Red Central Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Updated: 4/5/2023 changing my review to 1 star. Here is why: I've been coming here for more than a decade and you can always get a free item after spending however much. I walk in today after calling to order for pick up and I asked if I could choose the free can of soda that one gets after spending $20 and the lady tells me that's for walk-in only... well two things, it isn't advertised anywhere that it has to be a walk-in order, secondly, why does it matter how I order SPENDING money is SPENDING money - it makes no sense and it isn't fair to the people who call in to order to then WALK-IN and pick up their food. They may have lost my business after this. I've never been more annoyed with Red Central in all these years.

Horrible customer service and they genuinely try to get over. I ordered a cheese steak roll and crab Rangoon tonight and they sent me a roll with 80% onion and pepper with minced garlic size ground beef sprinkled in the roll. Crab Rangoon is 90% cream cheese, 5% crab, 5% scallion. Just horrible and then they tried to tell me they didn’t do refunds I had to walk around there and literally smash the roll on the counter showing them it was almost no meat to get my money back. Please save yourself the time, if you live in this area do yourself a favor and order from Lui’s Garden...

One of the worst experiences ever.Red central was my go to spot for excellent chinese food. My last experience was the worst the food was refried and old tasting with pools of grease in the bottom of the container. The rice was unlike any fried rice I've ever loved. It was almost whit in complexion and it contained hard carrots. The chicken gizzards were fried so hard that they crunched when you bit into them and both the rice and the chicken we loaded with pools of grease. This made for a long night of heart burn and reflux. I will never order...
