Sorrento Pizzeria and Grill — Restaurant in Philadelphia

TLDR: unprofessional, phones and tablets were down, horrible customer service, dirty nasty looking store, order was incredibly late

I placed an order for here at 12:48am through grubhub that said it would arrive by 1:38am at first then changed to say 1:40-1:50am which in all honesty was fine, it’s really late and during a pandemic hey they’re trying their best.... 2am rolls around and my order still isn’t here so i try to call them and their phones are off so instantly i panic and call grubhub thinking something is wrong and cancelled my order. So i then try to place an order for pickup through slice that goes through and comes up confirmed (this part is important). 2:30am and then driver finally comes with the already cancelled order, ringing the doorbell at that ... i told him i cancelled it trying to be the good guy i guess (or maybe thinking too naively) i figured i had already placed the order through pickup they’re probably already making it again, go to pick up the order and they claim there is no order there for the name given, that it was never sent or confirmed and that i could re-order and still re-pay cause “they don’t know if they’ll get paid cause their tablets were off” (meaning the slice order didn’t go through i guess) so i say f* it i don’t want to order again. I call slice and the lady confirms that they confirmed my order and was given confirmation so they lied and were hoping i’d do the most to try and order again. In all honesty yeah i should have taken the order when it came and let it cancel itself out but i didn’t; but for them to go through all the motions to be this petty at their dirty a* corner fking store pizza shop , laughing and trying to be condescending because their driver took ages to come and their fking phone were down so i had no choice but to cancel my order was just unprofessional.... if they would have had their phones up from the beginning, i would have just waited for the order but tbh after finding out what it looked like inside.... i’m actually quite GLAD i never got to chance to find out what it tasted like! I WOULDN’T...

I just ordered from this Restaurant today. : Sorranto Pizza and grill TODAY 11/23/2024, Read the reviews below, the owner keep apologizing for all of his customers bad experience. He need to pour that energy into serving fresh, great tasting food. fIXING IT IS MORE IMPORTANT. LOCATION: 646 S. 55th street, Phila, PA.. The delivery person did not follow the delivery instructions , he PLACED my hot food on the cold rainy steps outside my home as if that made any sense to a human being with common sense. I read the reviews on this restauraunt after I received my food ..and everybody said this food was nasty and they did not like it. they were exactly right. my pizza was nasty and had no flavor. How does pizza not have flavor? This restaurant made the Turkey Hoagie with fake/processed turkey meat .. not real turkey . I looked at it an knew I would not like this sandwich. They do not take pride in their food nor presentation . They do not respect their customers. PLACED MY HOT FOOD ON THE COLD RAINY STEPS!! I can not and will not never ever order food from this place never again . first impressions mean a lot to me. I added the sauce just to give it some flavor. I'm so dissapointed. The sauce taste better than the pizza... look at that sloppy nasty tasting pizza. I'm going to tell all of my friends...

There delivery was fast, and that’s the problem being fast making the food and its nasty. The Buffalo wings were nasty no taste to it the skin was so wet and soggy and the cheesecake is frozen and they have the nerve to say we keep our cheesecake frozen abs we deliver it that way. Never will I order from here again. I should have looked at their reviews first because I see a lot of bad reviews for this pizza store.

Follow up: so I just called to place an order the lady that answered to make my order I explained that I wanted a pepperoni cheese pizza and that the last two times the pizza didn’t have cheese in the whole pizza and that I would like cheese on my whole pizza. The lady proceeds to say she can’t take my order I’m like why because I said I want cheese on my pizza the right way she then goes on to say call when a manager is here I said when will the manager be in she keeps repeating he’s home that’s not what I asked I asked when will he be in then she proceeds to be nasty because I asked her was she the only cashier lady that up front she gets nasty sore to needs to do better with who they hire there. And looking at other reviews this pizza place going downhill you guys have been getting a lot of bad reviews...
