I truly want to support My Black Own Businesses. So I came here today and looked forward to getting the Seafood Gumbo Fried Fishe Shrimp and Grits The Pic on the website menu looked deliciou We'll I called this morning to make sure I could get a reservation I heard they're often crowed, I found out I could just come in for 1person you can sit at a table with others, I said ok I went ...I noticed it was not crowded at all I walked in to wait to be seated stood there..sat on the bench for at least 5min to not be greeted.. I noticed 2-females servers so I said excuse me Is this seat yourself? She said no ...oh OK so I'm still standing there looking like 🤦‍♀️ no greeting ...how many or I'll be right with in a minute Nothing. Finally I say ok now this isn't a good feel right here and now.. she walks pass me to handle a table she walks by back to the back she and the other server began to talk the other server she went to a table came back past me standing there. She says nothing 🙄 so I say it again to the should I seat myself. She said you can sit over there and pointed to a dirty table 😏 I sat down side ways. She came over shortly and I said I'mma clean it for you I said thank you. She sat menu and napkin with silverware...ok never came back. I sat there for 5min I said I can't I'm not. This is crazy the not even crowded. Make a long story short. I tried... 😆 they had crab claws/meat NOT LUMP CRABMEAT AS ADVERTISED ON THE PHOTO SHOWN ON THE MENU and I asked to speak to the Manager her Name Is Sade...BrunchAholics 😉 OWNERS YALL OVERWORKING YOUR MANGER MENTALLY... You All Thank God for Her and Appreciate her work Ethics and Her genuine Concern FOR YOUR BUSINESSES. SHE DEFENDED YOU ALL WELL. THAT SHOULD NOT BE. YALL NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR SERVICE AND FOOD IS WHAT YOU ARE ADVERTISING. BECAUSE OF SADE IM COMING BACK. YALL BETTER BE ON POINT. My experience was horrible. First off there was no Ac and it was an 87 degree day but my group and I decided it was too late to go anywhere else. We asked our server if she can get the managers approval to open the door for some air flow and we were ignored. We never got our mimosa tower which we ended up cancelling anyways because we were already almost finished our food. The food was extra mediocre, aside from the wings everything else was just.. bad… the brioche toast was stale and dry, Belgian waffles was not fluffy it was cakey and dry. Eggs were over done. For a $16 omelette I was expecting it to be better because you literally had to pay $1 individually for onions, peppers, tomatoes. Shrimp was fried well but seasoning was all too salty. Overall the service, food, and the fact that we didn’t even get an apology about the air being down instead we got attitude for even speaking about it. The server mentioned that it was down for a few days already and I made my reservations a week ahead so I didn’t see why I was not informed before I came in. All and all I would not go back maybe their other location is better I’m not sure but definitely won’t be going back to their Aramingo location if I could give it zero stars I would. To add that they automatically added 20% tip onto the bill as an item was just ghetto. They didn’t allow us to write our own tip on the “tip” line which I didn’t understand. Their service deserved NO TIP but we wanted to just do the minimum at the least but they didn’t even give us the option. We didn’t want to argue because everyone was literally drenched in sweat because we were literally sitting in a hot box. I hope...

Made a reservation for 3pm, seated at 315pm which I thought totally reasonable.

Our server was nice and I felt bad for her because she had to keep bearing bad news. The first was they ran out of potatoes for the breakfast potatoes. A member of our party ordered the hash so they offered to make it with french fries instead. Our party member was okay with it and said the dish was still enjoyable. We ordered two extra sides of potatoes and decided to cancel one order and substitute the second for french fries; we never got them. Originally we thought they forgot but as the meal went on, it was abundantly clear they just didn't want to make them.

Me and the other member of our party ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles come with a vanilla frosting that is NOT listed on the ingredient list of the menu. When we asked for the waffle plain, the server came back to tell us they would just comp the meal instead of remaking the waffles. When asked why, they said because it was almost closing time; except it was 3.5hrs before the stated closing time. The chef could tell I was not going to accept that as a reasonable substitute and yelled across the counter that he would just remake it. He had a lot of big emotions around my request for a plain waffle. Oddly enough, 5 minutes later he made 2 fresh waffles for a staff member.

The food was a bit better than average. The fried catfish was a bit salty but had a good flavor. The waffle was decent. The fried chicken was my least favorite but the other members of my party enjoyed the buffalo wings.

All in all, I was definitely disappointed in my experience. I won't be making the drive to...
