3/15 Terrible customer service, got treated like absolute sh* the second I walked up to the front register. Mind you the day before at the same exact time I bought a brand new Xbox 1 from this location and multiple Xbox 1 games and a couple Xbox 360 games, the one game I bought for the Xbox was listed as backwards compatible and for 19.99. Nate was the kid at the counter, super disrespectful attitude and full of sh* ripped my reciept completely in half from the top to bottom and played along like he was printing another one out for me and never did just put a round clear sticker to try and hold together two separate huge long pieces of paper with 350$ worth of items on the paper. He then said I wouldnât need it in the future which is total BS. His speech and way of speaking to his âcustomerâ was absolutely obsurd if you were trying to talk and act like a hoodlum you most certainly achieved it kid. Back to the game issue ~ I bought it and tried to play it but as soon as I popped the disk in the console a error message came up saying the game is not âBCâ backwards compat, why would you sticker label a video game as âBCâ then put it in a GameStop case with the indicator stating itâs okay to play on the Xbox 1. If the GM or manager sees this I would highly suggest you review your staff and the flow of customer service especially that young lad Nate. Going to lose a lot of customers and money by the way your treating your regulars!! I will make sure to NEVER return to this location and will continue to notify as many gamers in our local community of port Richmond as possible!! How does it feel to rip off locals that used this store as a #1 go to!!! Absolute shamefulâ
P.S - I got completely mislead and lied to, I actually called the store before I left just to double check on a couple questions I had. Turns out when I arrived itâs the complete opposite of what I was told?    Read moreI went into the Port Richmond GameStop on Aug 24 2025 at 2pm looking to purchase a brand new PlayStation 4. The clerk asked what specs I wanted, then brought out a used PlayStation 4 telling me it would cost $170. I said "oh I wanted a new one" The boy behind the counter told me that Sony isn't making new PS4s anymore, and that I had to buy a used one. I immediately checked Google and , Yes, Sony is still making new PS4s. And the new ones cost about the same amount as the used one The boy was trying to sell me. He lied to my face to try and make a sale. I understand that GameStop is struggling but lying to your customers to make a sale is not how you're going to pull through. I won't be purchasing anything from this GameStop again, and it's really put me off the store in general.
Don't lie to your customers. It's super easy to check if they're being dishonest. Also, why are you trying to sell used consoles for the same price...
