I wanted to give four stars because they were under construction when I visited but...
I am giving them five stars for several reasons. For one it was great to come to an establishment and they had security at the door and security inside. I was immediately comforting that being in the neighborhood I've never been in before I was going to be okay. Then I loved the fact that the crowd was very diverse . It was diversity at its best and everyone was on their best behavior. The drinks were awesome, they were a nice size and a nice strength . I did not order food but I hear their food is the best! When I have more time I will go back and try it. It was nice to see the owner in the building and Not only was he there he was helping out, picking up,and straightening up throughout the night he really showed much love n care for his space and this makes you want to make sure you care for his space as well. Do yourself a favor and visit them enjoy the atmosphere, enjoy the food enjoy the music ,enjoy the diversity, and definitely...
Read moreThe Bar(n) is a mess. When it first opened it seemed like it was going to have a lot of potential. The previous establishment was a den of crime and violence, and there is a legendary history with that owner of tax evasion and fraud. The owner of this business started getting indignant over criticisms of things like his cheap looking sign, or the fact that drinks were too expensive. Now all that's left is a bar that white college hipsters go to because they secretly feel more comfortable here than other local bars that have a neighborhood crowd. If this place were to shut down tomorrow it would...

We had to text each other from one foot away. Just plain stupid. The bartender also lost track of our tab, misunderstood how many drinks we had, and charged too much. I understand it was an accident but it contributed to a bad experience. The table was so wobbly that my beer spilled all over the place, including on my pants... We didn't even bump it, that was just from touching the table. Also, board games are gone, sadly.
Original Review April 2018: Great neighborhood (dive?) bar - I love the drink specials. Food is really good. The pool tables, boardgames, and outdoor seating are...
