Cedar Park Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I have been a loyal customer for years but after today their star rating decreased. My girls and I experienced very poor customer service today. After seeing several customers get their orders before us yet they came in after us I kept holding my composure to complain and say anything. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting the waitress came over (1st time..never came back to say thanks for waiting, please be patient, nothing) to say she asked the cooks where our food was and they claim they never got the ticket. I said something to the owner and she immediately grabbed the ticket which was in the pick up/take out box. She went back and forth with the waitress but yet neither one of them apologized to me, the customer, who had been sitting in that cafe dam near a freakn hour. I often wonder when bad customer service like this happens is it because I am black, muslim or both. It took everything in me not to cuss someone out today because I was the hell hangry! Never again will cedar park get my money. I don't give a got dam if it was a mistake. To correct the mistake is the best of customer service. A % off my food or at the very least offer an apology. This is currently as of the time I'm writing this review, my FAVE spot to eat in the city. Then why only 1-star you ask? Because you'll realize the place is kinda nasty after you've been coming here for as long as I have. The men's room is nasty and there is NEVER any soap in there which means the neither the cooks or customers are washing their hands. They use these old old old IHOP syrup bottles, which they just refill. Some of the bottles don't even have a top on them, so dust and flies just fall right into the bottle. You would think that if customers could look into the kitchen, the kitchen would be impeccable. But no, the kitchen is also grimy and I took a picture of a giant container of pest poison on the counter with food. The cooks do not handle the food in a sanitary manner. No gloves or hair nets in sight. They use their bare hands and sit food directly on the countertop. All of this stuff I witnessed with my own two eyes on multiple occasions. I bet you're wondering why I keep eating here. The reason is, I have grown too accustomed to this place and I have introduced so many friends to this place. I try to push he bad stuff out of my mind. Maybe I was just too hungry and today could just have been an off day, but it was really off. The breakfast rush was over at 2 pm, so when there were 4 waitresses preparing for tomorrow's business at 2:10, we should not have had to wait several minutes to be seated and we had to ask for someone to seat us, as the wait staff looked as if they were going to do a coin toss to see who would seat us. Usually someone will seat you, offer beverages and come back in a few minutes to take your order. Today we were seated and had to wait so long, that we finally had to get up and ask for someone to come and take our order. Waitress came, we placed the order and had to wait another 10 minutes just for the coffee. Food finally came and the waitress went to sit down...but wait! She forgot the grits. Had to hail her. She started coughing in her hands as she came up to the table to find out what we needed. She did not visit the sink to wash before she brought the grits. Today was not a good day at...
