I am absolutely shocked of the experience I had in El Greco Pizza today 9/28/25. I've been going here for about 3 years to say. So what happened, was I got a pie from them and, I went to my house In Bustleton, if you are familiar of philadelphia you should know from El Greco Pizza to Bustleton it is far that's how much of a loyalty customer I was, until today. I called the store when I got home. I spoke to a gentleman by the name of Angel. That's the name "he told me I don't know really if thats his name"...I told Angel that I found hairs in the pie. I told him I am coming from a far, can I get something extra for the inconvenience. He said that he will make a brand new pie. Don't worry about it I will call the owner you will get something extra for the inconvenience. I told him just throw a mazzarella sticks in it. He said come don't worry, come i got you, I kid you not I got there and Angel give me a new pie, and said I can't do anything about that just take the pie! I told him are you serious just a pie! I drove from a far I've been a loyal customer. Then I heard a man speaking in spanish like I don't understand what's the problem. While the men is speaking to him in Spanish. Angel says it's just an exchange. I LOOKED AT HIM APPALLED...that he said that. So Angel said I can't give you,3 bottle of water!!! I called the owner he said give you water bottle... that is an repulsive answer to give. I am just saying if we as a people can be compensated of an issue such as hair hygiene. basically cover there hair by law you supposed to wear an hair net. So I told Angel that that he told me my man are you going to take the water are not. Philadelphia needs to do better as we are human beings. I am just saying. It's sad only hispanics will support this institution. The fact of the matter is I will not go back and, I hope nobody goes to this institution and purchased...
Read moreOrdered a sandwich-hoagie and they sent the wrong one. I took a bite hoping that that missing stuff was under the meat (as they sometimes do it that way, depending who is cooking) and when I realized the extra stuff wasn't in the sandwich I spat it out since the flavor wasn't the same as what I ordered. I called to tell them and be honest about what happened and they said, they would send the right one and take the old one. I waited and waited and sandwich never arrived. I called back and they said that because I took a bite they can't send the right sandwich. ALAS I was being honest about the one bite that I spat out cause I didn't like it. However, they never called me back to tell me they were not replacing their mistaken order. NOT ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN. MR. CHINO (THE NEW OWENER) SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WHAT HIS PEOPLE DO TO RUIN HIS BUSINESS. TOO BAD THEY LOSE 50-60 DOLLARS FROM US...
Read moreDo not eat any stromboli from a restaurant close to center city Philadelphia. I’m convinced that if you want a real stromboli you will have to drive to certain neighborhoods to find it.
EL Greco’s stromboli was so delicious and gave me flashbacks of the stromboli’s I had growing up.
I recently moved back to Philly and unfortunately most places sell wrapped ‘pizzas’ filled with cold cheesesteak that they figure will warm up after placing it in the oven.
El Greco understands the importance of cooking the cheesesteak throughly before placing it inside of the Stromboli. The crust is amazing. If it’s just for one person a small is more than enough.
I’m so thankful that my office ordered from here and something said order a Stromboli and give them a shot. Trust me you will not be...
