Don't let the Irish name fool you. I grew up in a Mexican family rolling enchiladas every holiday and seeking out taco trucks all across the valley as I grew older. This place is the real deal. The best breakfast burritos in town. Burritos are made to order with tons of meat and crispy hash browns just like dad used to make. Chorizo, machaca, bacon, sausage... I rotate between and mix them all. A good selection of food, drinks and most importantly a friendly staff. Sometimes I really need a little coffee pick me up when it's early and they have a little extra to share. It's a true family restaurant. Habenero salsa is perfect: deserving of the Fresh name. I love the stamp card too. I go there so much I accidentally get a free burrito sometimes. I'm starting my own unaffiliated 100 burrito Club. I'm already at almost 40. I can't imagine not reaching 100 soon. They make it worth while. Thank you Habenero Fresh for being my new favorite place. AND OH YEAH they also have bomb Korean food if you need to mix it up after eating Mexican 3 days a week like I do. Order it spicy if you're into that sort of thing :3. Thanks for reading my blog, good luck...
Read moreI love Cafe Rio, and always give Costa Vida a hard time for being impersonators of Cafe Rio. It seems like they're always trying to measure up, but don't quite make it. Habanero Fresh is to Cafe Rio, what Cafe Rio is to Costa Vida. This place seems like what Cafe Rio is trying to mimic. A++
I flew in with a friend who is from the area in a small plane. I enjoyed everything about it. It felt like an authentic Mexican restaurant, without some of the potentially unsanitary stuff you might find in a restaurant in Mexico.
All of the staff were friendly and approachable. They engaged in conversation, and were genuine about their recommendations.
I got one of their smothered burritos. I told them to make whatever they recommended. I'm pretty sure I ended up with the green chili pork with a habanero salsa.
It had just enough of a kick to almost make my nose run, but not burn and overpower the food. I wasn't all that hungry, but couldn't stop eating. The burrito was huge, but I downed it all.
Would definitely...
Read moreI've been driving by this place for a long time now, and finally got the chance to try it out. Had a few breakfast burritos. My kids liked theirs, and I asked for mine with extra meat and asked if they could do an enchilada style red chile. The owner, I assume, said they usually do that for enchiladas at lunch, but that he could heat some up and pour it over the burrito. It worked great, and I was glad he accommodated my request without complaining or gawking at the request for something out of the ordinary. He was very open, honest and worked hard for my business. The pico de gallo was good, and both salsas were good, as well. Even one of the cooks had to come out to take an order when the owner was busy, and the cook was very helpful, spoke well and was very polite. I will...
