We took our family of four, including our two young kids (ages 4 and 7), to Kimmyz Tatum Point for a late lunch and had a fantastic experience from start to finish!
We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in by the bartender, and shortly after being seated, our server Ashley arrived with menus and took our drink orders. Right away, we were impressed by the wide variety of menu options and the mouthwatering weekly special: meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and a biscuit.
Ashley was incredibly helpful with recommendations, she suggested the meatloaf and the Reuben, among others. We started with the boneless wings, which were absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, we followed her lead and ordered the meatloaf and the Reuben, and both were outstanding! Our kids shared the chicken strip basket, which was more than enough for the two of them. Even my husband, who’s usually picky about meatloaf, couldn’t stop raving about it!
Ashley truly made the experience exceptional, her customer service was top-notch. She was kind, efficient, and attentive without us ever having to flag her down. The music level was family-friendly when we went around 5 PM, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the entire place was, including the well-stocked restrooms.

Read moreThis place is a joke when it comes to customer service and attentiveness, my very first observation was that the bar staff had no sanitary bucket, which is a primary az state requirement! Not acceptable! Sat at the bar for approximately 6 minutes before being greeted by the bartender by the name of Tatum, who was not that busy by the way. She was very inattentive and had no knowledge of the menu, I asked a few questions regarding several menu items and she had no idea! Hesitantly I placed an order for their basic burger, she had informed me that they have a default medium cook temperature and I placed the order only to inspect it and see that it was totally overcooked! I asked for another burger, Tatum went to the kitchen, returned and informed me that they were closed...I informed Tatum that I was fine, after approximately 2 minutes sitting at the bar she approached me and said that I couldn't sit at the bar because I didn't order anything!!? And that I was "being problematic " simply because I requested a properly cooked meal. If I were the owner of this establishment I'd replace her, guests come first, she was obviously upset but did not make the right decision in asking a paying individual to leave because she was upset. Read moreFood was good. Beer was cold. It was our first time in so I guess a red flag went up right away for the bartender. Before even greeting us, welcoming us in or saying hello - She made my friend throw away his water bottle because they don’t allow outside beverages which is understandable. My friend was kinda upset because it was a full bottle of water he just bought but still no big deal. She was short with us the entire time and basically just took our order. 15-20 min later a couple walks in and sits at the bar. They both have 2 huge polar pops, place them on the bar and begin chit chatting with the bar tender. So it is because we don’t know the bartender or does she just get to pick who’s allowed to do what at the bar? We felt Unwelcomed and uncomfortable after all that happened. No reason to come back.
This was last week @ Tatum and Bell. I hate to leave a poor review but we were disappointed in the customer service. It was only the 1 bartender who set the stage for our first visit in. I did enjoy the food and I liked the atmosphere but both of those things are hard to enjoy when you feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. It could have been a bad day for her but then again to see her smiling and talking with other guests (who had outside beverages) was strange for us.
