Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Phoenix

If I cold give a 0-star, I would. I visited this location last night looking for part-time delivery driver employment. I was told earlier in the day that the hiring manager was named "Avril", and that she would be in around 6. I went around 9, and asked for the manager. The guy at the counter said he was the manager. I requested Avril, and a woman in the background who was cleaning replied that that was her, but seemed genuinely annoyed with the bother. I asked if she was looking for drivers, and she smartly replied "I'm always looking for drivers". I asked if I could get an application, and she said they didn't have any. I asked if I could apply online, and she didn't seem to know. The guy at the counter gave me some blank receipt paper, and told me to write down my name, number and availability. I began as he started to take a phone order, and the manager continued her project. At this point, I had been in there for about 5 minutes, and Avril still didn't greet her potential applicant for employment, and still seemed annoyed by the bother. I finished jotting down my information, and wanted to personally hand it to Avril. She just told me to leave it on the counter. Dumbfoubded, I simply left the information, and called back today, asking to speak to the hiring manager. The person on the phone told me that she said to call back after 2. I hadn't even given my name. I called back at 2:15, and spoke to her, and before I was even finished with my sentence, she interrupted, "Are you the guy who's availability was.....". I replied "yes", and before I was even done with that word, she replied "I'm looking for something a little more open than that". Bottom line, this place is staffed with an unprofessional, and seemingly incompetent manager in charge - Avril. Do not...

This was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had with a pizza place.

I ordered a large one-topping pizza and gave all the required delivery information. Instead of reaching out properly when the driver got lost, they simply gave up and voided my order — without informing me at all.

When I called the store an hour later to ask what happened, I spoke with Brian, the manager, who was not only unhelpful, but downright rude. I’ve worked in customer service, so I understand how tough the job can be, and I always approach these situations with respect — but I was met with sarcasm and defensiveness.

Brian’s exact words were: “If you would’ve answered the phone, you could’ve had your pizza by now. Instead, you’re calling an hour later.” No apology. No ownership. No attempt to fix the issue. Just blame.

When I asked to speak to someone else, I was told: “I’m the only person in the store, so you can’t talk to anyone else.” This is unacceptable. Basic customer service skills were completely lacking, and any sense of empathy or accountability was nonexistent.

I’m angry and extremely disappointed. I will never order from this location again, and based on this, I’m seriously questioning Papa John’s standards as a...

5/28/2018. I bought 3xl pizza's and they came back smashed to the side....I called they told me we will send you 2 out.. I said ok what so I do with these pizzas the girl said go ahead and keep them....I said ok.....so they called me and said we need the pizza back I said you just told me to keep it so they ate it.. .they said I figured, I'll go ahead and send him anyways. I said ok... the delivery guy comes at me all rude like where's the pizza....I said they ate it because the girl said I could keep it😑 and he said no I have to take the pizza back. I told him the girl just told me over the phone she was going to send you anyways to give me the pizza.. The delivery guy rolled his eyes saying I'll call them...all rude😤 And he drove off and now they said they ain't giving me the pizza... RUDE COSTUMER SERVICE.... I ORDERED HERE ALL TIME TILL TODAY.....PLZ SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Nice way to end this...
