I did feel the need to voice my opinion and concerns over the awful experience myself along with my children endured. Recently, I attempted to have my kids re-added onto my gym membership plan. The process at this location was definitely not made easy with the kids club front desk staff due to their lack of knowledge on their own process. I had to drive all the way to the Lake Pleasant location in order to get the help that I needed. It wasn’t a difficult process for them to get the request completed either and any other gym location would’ve been able to do so. Once set up, I took my children in for their scheduled visit. Nonetheless, I would expect for anyone within the child caring community or staff to treat all of my children equally and with respect but that wasn’t the case. The next day my daughter indicated that the staff members were speaking badly of me and of my son. I can really care less if any staff member speaks ill of me and chooses to disregard their own code of ethics policy for their behaviors. However, it’s a totally different situation when it comes to my family, especially my kids. I will not tolerate anyone to bully any of my children let alone my son who’s on the spectrum. Nonetheless, I had reached out to the gym by telephone before heading over and asked to speak with the GM and was denied to do so for escalating the matter. I was told by the Ops manager that he would address my concerns to the staff members in the kids club. As I arrived after speaking with the manager, I was late for my kids club reservation. And instead of being more lenient to provide more resourceful solutions, the group of girls working at the kids club turned me away. And basically said come back next time. I walked away and I asked to speak to the GM at the main front desk but the Ops manager stepped in again and supposedly had been handling the situation while I was there with the kids club staff. While this was the case and I waited for about 40min, I decisively canceled the scheduled missed appointment and rescheduled for the next available time which was within the next 40min for the kids club. And it took the Ops Mngr and his staff to get correctly acclimated that amount of time, with regards to setting up one of my other child’s profiles. Following my workout and having picked up my kids from the kids club, the Ops mngr approached me and indicated that as a one time courtesy he only allowed me to leave my children there that day for the scheduled/ allowable visit due to the out of hand/ salacious behavior his staff exemplified. He indicated that somehow when you book an appointment and cancel it and reschedule for a different time a red flag goes off for the kids club desk and you’re not allowed to rebook a new appointment till next day. Which to me that just sounds crazy or asinine. How and why wouldn’t you be allowed to reschedule an appointment, in the event, changes arise for an individual or an emergency?l With this significantly awful and demeaning experience for myself and my kids, I’m honestly in the process of reconsidering of making the switch to another gym like Lifetime fitness. Prior to making the switch to EOS fitness in 2018, I was a loyal member to LA Fitness since 2007 till 2018. It’s safe to say that I am always a loyal customer to companies/businesses who are worth being a customer for and this isn’t the first issue I’ve had to deal with at this EOS fitness gym location (83rd Ave and Camelback). I’m hoping proper remediation actions are taken to address and prevent other issues like this occur with other members. As this was completely...

They attempt to clean my and other guests equipment WHILE we are actually working out and using it! I've had to stop my workout to ask the cleaners to stop. They also leave spilt mop bucket water on the floor without a wet floor sign. It is unsafe and could lead to a serious injury for both guests and staff. It was first reported earlier in the year through a survey around March and we got a response from Ezme. It continued to happen, so in August I tried to report the issue to management staff in person when I was done with my workout and the desk associate lied to me saying he was the manager. I told him I knew he wasn't, but when I pressed further he said the actual manager (Alessandro Gonzalez) was busy and couldn't talk to me. I then emailed District manager Derek Seechoma that day and he assured me it would be addressed. I even met with General Manager Alessandro Gonzalez a week later in person. The issue kept happening unfortunately so I emailed Derek, Ezme, and Alessandro again August 28th. I didn't get a response after 48 hours so I emailed again. I didn't get a response to that email either. I was then compelled to reach out to the Better Business Bureau August 30th. It is now October 21st and they still have not responded to my emails or BBB complaint. They said through the BBB complaint portal that Regional VP Katy O'neil reached out to me but I have no record of her calling, emailing or leaving a voicemail. I was a frequent visitor to the gym before and I've been reluctant to come back because I just don't feel management takes my safety seriously. Management is not visible and does not provide adequate supervision of staff. They spend the majority of their time in their office or at the front desk talking with other EOS staff. I tried as much as I could over many months to report and work with management before escalating the issue to the BBB and Google Reviews. They chose to ignore me in the hopes that it would go away.

Update August 7th, 2023: Derek did finally reach out to me last year after leaving Yelp and Google reviews and the cleaning issues did go away for a time. Unfortunately, last week an employee interrupted my run again to ask me if he could clean my treadmill in the middle of my run. I took my AirPods out and declined and explained why. I also explained it was unsafe and disrupted my workout and concentration. I immediately emailed Derek again but didn’t get a response. I then emailed Tajah Staton but unfortunately did not get a response back from her either. It seems EOS district managers only respond to Google and Yelp reviews. I think I am not unreasonable to ask to be allowed to workout and safely use the equipment without being interrupted by EOS employees. I’ve been a member of many gyms and have never experienced employee cleaning issues like this. Please wait to clean my equipment when I am done with it. I was only there for 40 minutes and you are a...

After being to a few EoS locations, it seems like your experience and their quality vary wildly from location to location. The quality of the gym itself I would say is "fair", but it's made a frustrating experience because of the other gym patrons.

First off, regardless of what time you come in-- prepare to wait. I go around 11am to 12 on weekdays, and it's still very packed. Lately, most of my workouts have gone from a planned, scheduled routine to "whatever is available or isn't broken".

The gym etiquette is pretty terrible, people will set up and occupy an incline/adjustable bench in front of the dumbbell rack with 4 or 5 sets of dumbbells, and proceed to do standing bicep curls for 30+ minutes and use the bench for nothing more than a chair to look at their phone on in-between sets. This isn't necessarily the fault of EoS or its staff, but it is a consistent problem I see at multiple locations. This is just one example, but things like this happen every day, and it snowballs when 2 or 3 people are doing this at once.

The gym itself: the equipment is very odd and not very ergonomic. Most of the equipment here is completely different than the equipment at the other locations I've been to. A lot of the olympic bars seem to be extra thick, which makes it hard to keep a grip on.

The cable towers have an annoying 2-pin locking system that requires two hands to adjust the height of. A lot of the bearings on the attachable bars and handles for the cable towers are shot, and have been for a long time. I think people think "It spins, so it's okay", but the bearings are completely gone. Equipment is frequently out of commission, and I get it: they get a ton of use due to how packed they are, but that just emphasizes the important of fixing things ASAP.

Now, my biggest issue with this gym by far: SAFETY CLIPS. WHY? Why are there no safety clips for any of the olympic bars? Every single time I squat, deadlift, or bench, I literally have to walk laps around the entire gym to try to find ONE set of clips, so I look around to see if others have safety clips, and lo and behold, they don't have any either. This is a critical piece of gear at a gym, and so far I've found a set of clips only twice for my compound lifts. Coupled with the amount of inexperienced users who are ego lifting without the availability of clips, someone is likely to dump 2 or 3 forty five pound plates on someone's leg, especially considering how tightly packed this location is.

Lastly, people taking pictures and videos in the locker room. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion. People have not agreed to show up in your TikTok while their dong is hanging out. It's literally a crime. I don't know what EoS could possibly due to control this, but it's wildly inappropriate.

All in all: it's a very affordable gym that does technically have all of the equipment you would need, but the constant breakdowns, poor behavior from other members, small location, and how packed it is at all times makes for a fairly frustrating experience. If you can make the journey to the one on Estrella Parkway, I would...
