Starbucks — Restaurant in Phoenix

I was on my lunch break, ordered then 3 or 4 people ordered behind me, they kinda tossed my "hot" sandwich out at me and it slid across the counter, luckily I was standing there so it didn't fly off the other side, all the while watching people with massively difficult drinks(I was a "batista " once at sbux so I know them when I see and hear them)who ordered behind me get theirs while my shots just sat in a cup getting bitter and cold. I told one of the girls and she just added the last 2 shots and frothed some 2% when my only special was whole milk. I had waited almost 20 mins for a white mocha with cold bitter shots and I still needed to eat my now cold sandwich and get back to class so unfortunately I didn't have time to get my over 7$ drink fixed and then my lovely cold dry egg sandwich that wasn't meant to sit out that long. All n all I very much dislike going to this Starbucks, not once out of 3 attempts have they gotten a drink right and they usually always take way too long. I would rather get a white mocha up the street for literally $4.50 and I don't have to modify (driving up to bell and back to campus with waiting at DB is faster than this sbux can get a single drink out) oh and DB also does a military and first responders discount, very generously at that! My drink would have been made right in front of me at the window and piping hot with fresh shots! So the drive to any other coffee shop even Circle K...is worth never having to step foot in...

I come here on the weekends and we find that this place is awesome, we love sitting down and sipping coffee and let the world spin around us. Although I will say that it is Christmas and instead of having a holiday themed coffee spot we get pride flags instead. Corporations are ruining the atmosphere the inclusion for Pride feels more as a cult rather than standing for something. Why has the pride flag been up since their month but every other month or holiday has no recognition? Where is my Black Lives Matter supposed to hang if they still have the Pride flag up? Coming from someone who spends my time and money here I wish they wouldn’t lean so heavily onto the pride movement. Just doesn’t really feel good we don’t get a full year of black history month and our roots are much harsher than what happened to the homosexuals we were enslaved but where is our flag? I don’t understand why they get to keep there flag up but we don’t get to have our flag up all year long. Hell even an American flag would be nice but we have had several American Holidays and I’ve never seen that flag replaced even for the day. It’s pretty sad that we don’t recognize the American vets that died for this Country but the guy that dresses as a women and grooms children are the ones being honored here. Cockroaches in coffee. I got a grande cup of Pike Place this morning before work and had been drinking it throughout the day by pouring it into a small mug without taking the lid off. It wasn't until my second pour that I noticed a bug that looked suspiciously like a baby cockroach (about a 1/4 in long) floating in my mug. My mug was definitely clean and empty before the coffee.....Okay, I thought, maybe one landed in my mug somehow. Later in the day I opened the Starbucks cup to add creamer directly into it since there wasn't much left and I found another cockroach floating in there. Needless to say it was not the most pleasant experience.

When I called the store to let them know they just said they'd call the exterminator and thanks for letting them know. No offer to remedy the situation. I'm not even sure if the guy believed me. I usually don't ever complain unless it feels necessary. I had to ask if a refund was possible as he was saying "thank you, goodbye." And he said it's only possible in person. Which is not great given the current pandemic situation.

Anyway, I had been here a couple of times before and always had a good experience until today. The drive thru line is always efficient and I appreciate that.
