Place looks decent in the inside and the bathrooms are nice. Went on a Saturday night, was not too busy but the service was still terrible. I had to flag someone down to get a waitress at my table after waiting for 10 minutes. Ordered our food, which was a cielo, mar y tierra, a California roll, and a tostada de ceviche. The food came out slowly as well, when they brought out the California roll, I immediately knew it was not going to be good, because the rice looked like mush. My daughter tried it and it was disgusting, I even tried to try it and it smelt off. I told the waitress it wasn't good and just requested a chicken nugget plate for my daughter. The ceviche had no flavor at all, it tasted just like lime with no other flavor, and it looked liked the shrimp hadn't had time to cook in it. The cielo, mar, y tierra, was flavorless even with a lot of Sriracha and soy sauce, the rice was the same consistency as the California roll. Just as long as it took to get our order, it took longer to get the check, again flagging the...
Read moreGreat mexican spin on sushi. At first I was a bit taken back by the combination of cheese, octopus, and other meat on one of their specialty rolls. I was glad I blindly ordered, necause it was delicious and worth it! Now I come here for lunch any time I'm in the area.
Sushinola has great food, and has yet to dissapoint me one bit. Go here with an empty stomach if youre ordering any specialty rolls, because the portions are generous. If you're not a picky eater either, don't read any descriptions, just order at random. I've yet to hit a roll I don't like yet!
They also do giant platters of sushi relatively cheap for takeout (about $30). If you don't wanna be the loser who brings veggies to your next potluck, hit...
Read moreIt you are craving normal Japanese sushi, do not come here. I ordered 2 rolls that I'd normally eat at any sushi place, and what they brought me was not like sushi at all. Like for example I wanted a spicy tuna roll and they brought me some huge boat shaped thing where the sushi was swimming in the middle of some kind of sauce or soup, basically half submerged in whatever this stuff was. I told them I just wanted a spicy tuna roll, not this boat soup thing with sushi bits floating in it. They were a bit upset at me, saying this is what I had ordered, but in my defense, their menu was NOT clear that this was how the dish was. The menu just described sushi, not this thing, not that it had a boatload of sauce and...
