The Human Bean — Restaurant in Phoenix

Quick drive thru place. First time I had been was great. I wasn’t sure what to get and opted for a simple iced coffee with caramel syrup. The barista was friendly and helpful. Second time I forgot to clarify I wanted an iced coffee and when the barista was about to hand me the hot coffee I let her know I meant an iced coffee and apologized. She was super annoyed, clearly irritated and then made the iced coffee. I have to say that had to have been one of the worst iced coffees I had ever had. I don’t know if it was intentional or she was just having a bad day and was annoyed I didn’t say the right thing in the first place. I know it can be frustrating but no need to show it to the customer. Because my experience with the iced coffee was great the first time, I drove off and when I tasted it the second time when she had remade it, it was just awful, I had to throw it away. Third time I went they got my order wrong and the two baristas were arguing amongst each other about what the order was supposed to be and the guy was putting the girl on blast. It just felt awkward to observe. The coffee was just okay that time. There’s no Human Bean near where I live but if I’m in the area again, I would go just for the breakfast items. The coffee is good here, however I am taking my $1200 in business annually to starbucks down the street. If I am going to patron an establishment I do not want to have employees patting down my pockets for more money. The staff here try and pressure their patrons into leaving tips. Normally I leave a tip when they present the receipt to fill out at a place. Here however, they ask of you want to leave a tip before even showing you the prompt and if you pay in cash they will ask if you want change. Even like today when my order was $2.97 and I paid with 3 one dollar bills. It is not the money it is the principal of the matter. If I am paying at a place I do not want an annoying pat down. A tip is extra for doing a good job it is not something to be taken for granted. I try to support smaller businesses but from now on I will be going down the street to Starbucks where they treat their customers...

DONT GO HERE!!! They tipped themselves, I came here earlier today with my partner. And got two drinks and remember giving my card to a younger girl with curly hair. She had told me the total . And then gave me the drinks and my card back . Later on today I saw what was charge. And looks like a totally different number of what I was told. I tried calling them at first but no one had answer . So I stopped by and ask another girl how much for the 2 drinks. She told me the total and it's totally a different price from what was charge . She said maybe the card "tapped" the tip option . But didn't giving me any options how we could resolve the issue. Becareful who you buy from. Definitely this place is a big no for me for...
