Check in was easy. We were given a garage door opener and several magnetic keys. After parking in the assigned garage, we could not get into our unit. We needed a physical key, not a magnetic one. We walked to the front desk where the attendant argued with us that we did not need a key. She called maintenance so he could show us how to use a hotel key. He was friendly, but it took him quite a while to find the correct key. He then had to go cut 2 new keys to the unit. He did this twice as the first set was the wrong key. Luckily, we were in our room within about an hour and a half of arriving. These units are old and in desperate need of updates. They also need cleaned. I walked around in my socks, and the bottoms of my feet were black. There was a dead tarantula on the floor of the dining room also. It was not freshly dead. When we tried to go to bed, our daughters bed had no bedding. We walked to the front office for bedding and were scolded that we should have dialed zero so that someone could bring things to us. Like we wanted to wait another hour for bedding. The mattresses were broken down and uncomfortable. The outside areas were the dirtiest I have seen at a worldmark resort. It does seem that this is the trend with being bought out by wyndham. I love the location. It was perfect for attending a nearby wrestling tournament. I will not be returning unless things change...
Read moreWhen you book through RCI the resort provides pictures of rooms with two beds in the second bedroom. These rooms are NOT available to exchange members even when the resort is completely empty. They only give you the run down dirty rooms.||||There was a pile of garbage outside our door on check in, food bits on the floor, and broken glass on the carpet and kitchen floor. Our socks were black with dirt after five minutes in the unit. ||||The staff is friendly and tries to help and the bed was fine and we slept okay.||||While we’re were travelling we got a call purporting to be from the resort staff asking us which room we would prefer. I indicated that a three bedroom would be ideal (I requested an upgrade when I booked through RCI as a platinum member), but we would be fine in the two bedroom if the second bedroom had two beds (which we emailed to request directly when I booked). Upon arrival I was told by the front desk that the two bedroom style I asked for was never available to RCI members and given a standard two bedroom. The room was gross (see above). The person who had called me pretending to offer a room choice was a timeshare salesperson. Slimy move.||||We had a similar experience at a Wyndham in Anaheim…they give them trash rooms to RCI owners.||||Stay away from here. There are lots of options in the...
Read moreCheck in was odd to say the least. I’ve been an owner for 20 years and simply used my aunts account because I did not want to pay the hosuekeeping fee for a work trip. Young man who checked me in acted like he could not understand my questions and just smiled and nodded at me. Second woman I dealt with acted like I lied on my address on my booking and was dismissive of me until she realized I was an owner. Didn’t realize the sheets in my bed had set in blood stains on them until I was going to leave so that’s great. Floor felt like it was going to cave in at any moment throughout the room and in the shower. Told there wasn’t enough garages available despite MANY of them being left open being used for “storage” and only holding single items like one microwave, one mattress, one stove. Enough so they could easily condense it into one garage so everyone can have a garage. Pool was hotter than it was outside, not smart in a literal desert in the middle of summer. Kids were unattended and jumping on top of people into the pool and screaming their heads off. To top it off the security deposit is more than double any other resorts I’ve ever been to in my 20 years, and it was taken full from my account instead of just being a hold. Now I have to wait several days...
