Desert Arroyo By Raintree Vac — Hotel in Phoenix

This is without comparision the absolute worst time share experience we have ever experienced. In fact, we checked in late on a Friday evening (after a canceled and subsequently delayed flight) and ended up leaving to find a hotel because our room was so bad. I have no idea how long ago the pictures were taken that advertise this property, but they clearly don't represent the actual conditions we encountered. Being 'aged' is one thing, being run-down, broken, and dirty is another. I had to wonder if the $50 cleaning charge they assessed us was diverted to the 'friendly staff' as a means of extorting a tip. I can assure you that it wasn't used to actually clean the room... The carpet hadn't been vacuumed, dining room chairs were broken, the cheap blinds masquerading as window coverings were bent and damaged to the point that they didn't close, bed linens were soiled and stained, trash littered throughout the patio area, etc... etc.... etc.... As I stated above, we were so freaked out with the condition of this property that we didn't even open our suitcases; we couldn't get out of this place fast enough!!! On a side note, I have never felt the need to leave a comment like this in my life! But if my comments can save another weary traveler from stepping into the 'filth' of this supposed resort, then it was worth my efforts.... I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out this property is in bankruptcy... Let the...

My family of six has stayed at this resort each April for the past five years. During that time period, there have definitely been constant improvements, but I have to admit I have never encountered anything like the reviewer that found the accommodations so awful that they left the next morning?! Yes, the sleeper sofas are not that comfortable, there were a few stains on a few of the dining room chairs, but otherwise, everything is extremely comfortable, extremely clean, and the decor has been updated in each of the five units we have stayed in (two bedroom units and three bedroom units). I love the peacefulness of this resort, the 17,000 acres of hiking that is right outside any door of the property, and the comfortableness and well-equipped units. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly, highly recommend this resort. However, if you are looking for resort-directed activities, this is not the place for you. Lots to do around the resort, but the resort it QUIET. Yet we have a 5 year old and a 14 year old and they both really enjoy...

I'm only posting so low as this experience was very bad and needs to have the room addressed. This is now a World Mark and not at all like my last experience years ago. I am confused by the relationship shared by wyndham and RCI as I have heard various explanations. My stay was an RCI trade and the room was appalling. The onsite team was unable to make a change (as explained due to my RCI reservation and limited RCI rooms). Crazy as RCI and Wynham are supposed to be now in association. Luckily after effort from me RCI and the manager of a sister resort moved us out of this resort. The location is great for a south mountain view and hiking. Quiet area . Unfortunately the condition of the room is what is causing this poor rating . I am not sure who bears the responsibility to update , repair and ensure cleanliness of this room (RCi or Wyndham) but this accommodation if not addressed will continue to reflect poorly on...
