Tortas el rey use to be one of my favorites growing up. Would always get the carne asada huarache. Came in today w that same expectation. First time taking my partner there so we were exited. He got a Chicken torta w a lemonade and I got a carne asada huarache w a strawberry agua fresca. The food was great. The service was good at first. The lemonade my partner got had a piece of nail. My intentions were to inform the cashier so it can prevent future complaints. I expected the cashier to apologize and assured me this wouldn’t happen again to me or customers. It was the opposite she claimed “ that’s not possible,” and proceeded to let me know she made the lemonade and showed me her nails. I wasn’t expecting this type of behavior or response. She refused to believe me and denied it. I can tell she was taken back. Which anyone would be if I had been rude when informing her . Although I wasn’t. All I want from this is to prevent this happening again. Whether the incident w the lemonade (which I hope they solved the problem) or the type of response I received today. Which was unpleasant and unprofessional. Probably won’t be coming in anytime soon. Thank you!

We don't come as frequent as I would like. All the years we have dined here, always leave satisfied. This time, I don't know if they got new people in the kitchen because the food was a bit overcooked and it was not as flavorful as my previous visits. I will be going back to see if it continues to lack flavor or it was a one time thing. Good service overall. The parking lot was dark, I thought the place was closed for the night. The sign was not one and we got there about 3 hours before they closed for the night. I will repost once I go back.

2 visits. The food was delicious. I've had a torta el rey, a huarache, and quesadilla, big plates worth the price. Service is very efficient and polite. In the atmosphere, there was just too much going on TVs, music just felt and looked a bit too busy. But yes, I will continue to visit. I can't wait to try their Pambaso.

Food is always amazing but the service. ..??? I called in or tried to call in an order as I've done before around almost 6pm Sunday evening and the phone rang and no one answered. Then I called again and someone answered and hung up on me. After that I kept calling and just got busy signal 😕 once we got there to order to go as we always do, I asked the lady at the register why they answered, then hung, then put the phone so no calls could come in. She made a face and said "oh we don't take orders after this time by phone" ....ummm excuse me!!! I've done it so many times before and in past orders I was told 7pm is the cut off time on Sundays, not sure of other days. Anyways, I always have a big order, as I have a big family. I ordered two children's meals and I ended up getting two adult meals with guac and Chili which my children can't eat, especially cuz one is allergic to avocados!! The worst thing is I didn't even notice till we got home and we're about to eat, worst of all I couldn't even call because guess why, they don't take calls after a certain time. Very disappointed and we've been coming for 10+ years and NEVER had an issue until now. Make sure to check your orders before leaving if you...
