This place was so good, true southern Mexican authenticity, felt like I was eating my abuelita's food. I have not been disappointed with any of my orders. The al pastor tacos are yummy, I love going on Saturdays when they grill outside. Any time I'm in the mood for pozole they have it ready to go, with all the trimmings. The enchiladas verdes are great and the flautas are crispy and never greasy. They even come with consommé for dipping giving it this tasty flavor with every bite. Everything is always fresh, including their aguas frescas. The only thing is that it is a small place, parking isn't great but I mostly order to go.

The food here is amazing. This is my second visit this week and I don't even live in Phoenix. I happen to be nearby and I popped in for these incredible sopes (pictured.) It's not far from the airport and my go-to Mexican place was closed Monday night so discovering this restaurant was a happy accident. My sopes were delicious (cabeza and carne asada) and nicely dressed. The red and green salsas are excellent. My companions had a massive chilaquile and flank steak breakfast platter and an order of chicken flautas served with rich chicken consomme. The homemade corn tortillas were a wonderful surprise.

I used to spend the summers in Acapulco growing up. So I was very excited to go to a restaurant with Guerrero style food. They have the traditional pozole verde on Thursday (El jueves pozolero) with all the trimmings. Really good they also have pozole blanco everyday of the week. The chilaquiles are good and the Cecina was really good. My husband had the sopes. Wish they had Caldo de pescado Acapulco style. And banana leaf tamales "Aca-tamales" 😂. I'll be back to taste the picadita and the flautas de pollo. Because like the famous song says "Guerrero es una cajita"... Well you know the rest. 🤣
