My first time I had eaten here, was some time back and it had the wow factor, I give a lot of five stars out there but tonight I was disappointed so only 3 stars. I brought my wife along because of the last experience here. The staff are great they did a wonderful job, great atmosphere place is full of hungry folks. The both of us had our mind set for baked lasagna but found out no longer on menu so wait staff recommended the baked ravioli dish will it arrived hot had taste but for the price of $16 A PLATE there wasn't any fair size meat and 4 ravioli under burnt cheese that each one looked empty the sauce was a lot, maybe bread at table would help soak up sauce. We were hungry after eating this and did informed the wait staff our disappointment with the dish. Before we left gave a try with dessert of chocolate cake with espresso ice cream this was delicious.

Flies, flies, and more flies. The food made it to our table quickly; however, the quantity was very disproportionate. We had two orders of the same items...one item had twice as much in the bowl as the other. I told the waiter and he said, "I'm not in charge of the kitchen." The irony is the waiter is the conduit between the customer and the kitchen. The food is over priced, the portions are petite appetizers, the service lacked luster. I'm disappointed in this restaurant; as a business. Poor quality control, low service expectation (lack of communication between kitchen and dining staff) Even in theses reviews the owner keeps responding to repeat complaints... that's because the new customers expect the old problems to be solved. Warning to new customers..."GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!"

I was in town for work and asked a couple locals where to eat, this was recommended as one of their favorites! Upon arrival I was seated prompt and courteously, the place has a great ambiance and is pretty classy. For food they were on the last day of their “Taste of New Orleans” menu, so I decided to take advantage of it and ordered the “French Quarters Jambalaya” and their “Chop Chop” salad from their main menu. Both were very delicious! The Jambalaya was generously filled with shrimp, crawfish and andouille sausage! The salad had a perfect pairing of mixed greens, smoked mozzarella, banana peppers, Italian salami, then topped with a red wine vinaigrette! Pricing was fair, some may say it seems high for a small town restaurant.

High prices but the quality of the food is good. I had my first calamari here and the way they seasoned it, it tasted awesome. The food is very filling with a good enjoyable atmosphere. Staff was friendly and offered good recommendations. Fruity drinks are not only well made but they sure know how to make a presentation. Update 2/16/17: Came at opening and was seated promptly, had the salmon and it had a very good and powerful flavor. The meal was very filling and had a caring waitress. Another enjoyable experience. Update 9/03/2021: Came at 6:30 PM CST and boy was it packed. We had 2 young kids and the server we had patience like no other. Even when the food was slightly delayed because of how many people were there, he still checked on us at regular intervals, paid attention to detail and the quality of the food service is still top notch. I'm not going to forget the hostess in this review update either, the kids loved her and I been watching, she interacted with all guests with a lot of positive energy. The great quality of food, service and positive energy is a welcoming sight to see! Keep it up and see you at again at the next visit! Update 3/02/2022: One of the best services I have had in a long time. Steak cooked to perfection, full of flavor, waitress checked in on us more than 5 times, dishes taken away at a very good rate. Even when busy the waitress kept up very well. To also see the manager on the floor working tables and be with the staff is also a plus sight showing the impeccable teamwork for a...

So, I'm staying at the Clubhouse Hotel, and the restaurant is at the end of the hall -- a really pleasant surprise.

If the prices are high the rest of the week (as reported in another review), you wouldn't know it from the Sunday menu. Their pasta specials are $10 with a beverage purchase (saves me $6 off the menu).

For my beverage, I pick the house pinot at $5, only to notice when the waitress comes back with my glass that select wines by the glass on Sundays after 4 PM are two glasses for $4, saving me another $6 off the wine list.

I can add soup or salad for $2 -- another bargain.. I order the chop salad, which was very good.

As far as service, my waitress, who started at open, and will put in 11 hours today, was very attentive..

Quality of the food, I'd give it a solid B-. I ordered the steak and Gorgonzola penne, and whenever I got the bite of the Gorgonzola it was B+.

Second glass of wine comes over; great timing.

Next time I'm in Pierre, I will stay at the Clubhouse, and happily dine at Redrossa.

If you want the same experience on a Sunday night, ask to sit in Quanah's section. BTW, she told me if I thought Sunday was a bargain to come back on Tuesday when it's build your own burger night. Won't happen this time, since I'm heading out on Monday, but maybe someone else can tell how Tuesday night at...

We stopped in last night (Saturday night) at 830. We had a party of 6. The hostess or manager informed us it was going to be a wait and that the restaurant closed at 9 but they would still serve us. She gave me menus and asked us to please know what we would want when the server got to our table. We got seated and our server was super friendly. Later on the same lady at the hostess stand came by and said that they were locking their doors bcz it was 9. I let her know yes, we know this because not only did she tell us but we heard her tell the parties after us. Oh and may I mention the eye rolls for those other parties that came in after us. She said well I'm just letting you know because we are going to lock the doors and I know you had more to your party. I asked so you are going to lock the doors to the restrooms? She said oh no not those I said well I don't know what you think our kids are doing but they went to use the restroom. My recommendation is do not close at 9pm on a Saturday night and if so don't make your customers feel like they are a hindrance. Had my daughter not wanted pasta or if we weren't meeting others I would have easily gone elsewhere. Other than that the food was amazing. We did not get served any bread but our server...
