The level of expectations for fast food is pretty low- we utilize it for a quick service to eat junky food that is cheap and easy. I don't drive through sonic to experience fine dining. I expect a quick cordial exchange, hot food, and to be on my way. What I do not ask for? Is unsolicited medical or scientific advice from someone who is representing the worst of nutrition when it comes to health and wellness. If I chose to protect my body during a pandemic with a mask? It is none of anyone's business. My bodily autonomy is for me to own. Not for a sonic worker to chastise me over. So imagine my surprise when I attempt to order my burrito and morning coffee at an establishment that has posted signs that all staff will be wearing face covering and adhering to health and safety standrds- and the employee decides that this is an appropriate time to make fun of my mask. Going as far as to insult not just me, but the people of Arkansas by saying "this mask won't help you. It's science. I can't believe this is what I deal with. Hastag Arkansas." I was bewildered at the audacity that this fast food worker had in insulting me and the people of this state. Slaming the window shut in my face as I inquired on who the manager was (spoiler: apparently she was... shocking right? Lol) and telling her employees to film me in my inquiry over who I can contact to get my refund for the food and express my concern that an uneducated fast food worker who can't even make an order right is handing out insults to customers and medical advice that directly contradtics the current stance of the CDC. I am not shocked that this caliber of person is working an entry level job in the fast food industry despite their obvious medical degree in infectious diseases. Clearly I won't be back. But I sure hope that this woman learns professionalism- the expectations are pretty low, it's not a hard mark to hit. I'll get my coffee from the broken machine's of McDonald's because at least the employees over there understand the fundamentals of customer service. Bless your heart manager of...
Read moreI just recently acquired gift cards for a bad experience...for an online order, you would think since it's black and white print, how can they get it wrong? They do. And often. I generally order the Jr. Bacon egg and cheese burritos as I always do and today they are out of bacon. They don't have a way of telling you this for an online order until you get there, they see you check in and after 3 or 4 mins (too long in my opinion, they say "so-n-so is on their way with your order) and then it was that long for them to tell me they are out of bacon and would I like something else? No I replied and then I was told after another few minutes that I would have my money back on Tues or Wednesday. It's Saturday now and I got nothing but a waste of time and barely a smile. I told her they may benefit from going to local grocery and getting several pounds of bacon to get them thru an order mishap or delivery issue. She looked at me like I was nuts. I like the manager and a few employees, but the chapel location needs to get it together and quit hiring kids. That generation has...
Read moreThe cashier was beyond rude, Myia kept cutting me off at the speaker which led her to ringing my order up wrong . I purchased two five dollar chicken dinners and she rang them up for the 5.99 price. While I was still at the speaker , i asked her how the total came up to 13.46 .. crickets.. i say hello.. more crickets. As soon as I pull up and the car behind me comes to the speaker, she takes their order. I get to the window and I show her the Ad that states the chicken dinner will be five dollars on sundays. I get the correct total and I pay. When I get my food and drinks, I receive no napkins and no sauce . No big deal, I pull up and taste my sprite & it taste like soda water. I have my friend taste his coke and it taste like soda water as well. I only know what soda water taste like because I worked at a fast food place two years. I get another carhop to bring us new drinks and they taste just fine,he quickly brings them so it wasn’t a case of the drinks being out . I’m trying to see why Myia felt the need to put soda water in my drinks when I wasn’t rude to her...
