The Village Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Pine City

Don’t come here if you are from out of town. Eight(+) children sat at the bar, unaccompanied by an adult and touching everything they could reach behind the bar as they waited to request CUPS of pickle spears. Staff either didn’t care or did not notice. One child even wandered behind the bar in search for pickles. This circus occupied the staff’s time for a solid 30 minutes while people at tables lined up the bar waiting to order food or drinks. There were at least 8 people on staff and very little attention was given to tables or people like myself sitting at the bar. Pull tabs and free cups of pickles (a ridiculous amount - can’t make this stuff up) took priority above food/drinks. Burger was good but the wings were very questionable. Go to Froggys, The Garage, A&W or even McDonald’s for better...

We are from out of town and have been to The Village several times and had great food and service. However, the last few times have been awful. The service was horrible and we leave saying we are not coming back. But we like to eat out once a week and as time passes that we want to try it again. And this last time we asked for our bill and left before our orders were even taken. We sat for 45 minutes at a dirty table, got one drink and menu’s; our table was not cleaned or checked on again for our orders or new drinks. Meanwhile other tables were revisited and orders taken. We are good patrons and understand that times are tough and staff is overworked. However, this was not the case, there was plenty of staff. We are just very disappointed and unfortunately will...

We went here for a celebration of life. I was very impressed with the accessibility. In fact in the outdoor Tiki bar the was an accessible spot at the bars so that those with a disability could sit at the bar. The food was great as well as the staff was very friendly and efficient. This place is very welcoming to everyone. I will definitely go back if given the opportunity and if I lived in the area I would definitely be a repeat customer. The only con was the bathroom was a little small but that is all bathrooms and after speaking with the owner of how the bathrooms were when he bought it I don't see it as much of a problem.
