Pizza Pub — Restaurant in Pine City

I really wanted to try their new tater tot, hot dish pizza. Call them to do a takeout on Saturday the day before New Year’s Eve. Had to keep calling back because I kept getting a busy signal until I finally got a hold of them. Drove up there to get the pizza in a snowstorm. Paid $25 for a large. When I got there to pick it up, the place was very busy. The gal that took my money and got my pizza was very nice and very friendly. Got the pizza home and open up the box, and it looked very uncooked. Took a slice, and it was very uncooked. The dough was very gooey and not even brown at all. I thought the pizza was disgusting. All four or five of us in the house did not like it at all, and thought it was gross and I think it’s because it was so undercooked. Ended up only having a few slices and just threw it away in the garbage. I should’ve called and complained, but it was getting closer to closing time and I didn’t want to drive back up there in that nasty snow and slippery roads. A friend of mine had shared with me that they had bad experiences recently, too, since new owners have taken over. I guess I didn’t know it exchanged hands. I may go back there again But just this one experience was...

The service was 4 stars and the food was 4 stars. We had garlic cheese toast; very good and served with hot marinara. We also had the signature pizza, it tasted pretty darn good! Crispy bottom on the crust, sauce isn't bland, pizza was surprisingly solid and not really greasy at all. We are new in town and so far I'd say its the best pizza we've had. Looked like they had a nice selection of beers and for fair prices.

Service was fast, friendly and we were greeted with a smile. Nothing about service was above and beyond but it was definitely nothing to complain about. We were there early but it started getting pretty loud with kids running around. Doesn't bother us but if that's something that would matter to you then I suggest you ask for a table on the opposite side, away from the game area.

I'm excited to try some wings and maybe pasta from here. And the buffet might be a great deal; I saw it advertised for 8.99 on Wednesday evenings I believe. We might just pick up our order next time though; nothing really great about eating in unless you have kids who need to burn...

Met my parents here for dinner on Friday night (9/29). It was decently busy they told us an hour wait for the pizzas. I understand being busy and or not having oven space we waited for an hour and a half or more for two pizzas…this was very annoying but the most undesirable part of our experience was our waitress…she rudely rolled her eyes to our table when we asked for an update or we forgot to ask for something and she had to run back to the kitchen…that’s her job…but also very rudely asked the table behind us if their order was involved or if she could remember it.. then rudely went and grabbed her iPad… she messed up our two drinks(before we ordered any food)…she should definitely be using her iPad. The food was very good but not worth the headache. Used to love this place but sadly will not be back after the wait times and...
