We went to drum and quill last night Itwas St Patricks day eve.
They worked very hard to accommodate everyone who showed up . BECAUSE EVERY OTHER PLACE WITHOUT ADVERTISING THAT YOU NEESED RESERVATIONS. For EXAMPLE Dugan pub . Who has been all over face book for weeks telling you they open mic 7 to 10 never said you needed reservertions . I know because of covid the music is outside .After a few drinks and a great Rubin at DRUM AND QUILL We walked around the villiage so we didnt drive right away . Let me tell you listening to the music was a wonderful delight..
I hope the music outside last all summer. It was so delightful .I finally felt I was in a enjoyable place . The village needs muaic of all kind playing on a warm evening. For the frist time I felt I was enjoying the advertise villiage I moves here to enjoy .. Everyone at Drum and QUILL treated Us with great patience and respect unlike Dugans who kicked us to the.curb .I invited 20 people to cone to the village. And a Irish pub treated us wrong only because they did not mention reservations at all. Which I would have never went to without if I knew. Most of them left and I was embarrassed THEY FAIL. So next year I hope for clearer info . I FELTED LIKE A outsider when your new to the village. Great welcome from the irish pub. Which ive been to quite a few times. During the pandemic to support. And Never thought 20 people would be turn away. After a long year .And being told to support local. Perhaps its a elite insider thing. CONGRATES TO OTHERS WHO WORKed HARDER FOR A FUN INCLUDED Time On ST PATRICK DAY.after a year like we all had .I would have thought our village would have celebrated in even the park I hope I didnt make a mistake moving here. Because pop all the realtor advertising what afamily fun place this is. Hope to see better in the...

Wanted a burger after soccer practice with my son. I'm usually a big fan of supporting local businesses as you generally get a better quality product for a good value. Instead I came to the Drum and Quill and got taken advantage of by an upselling waitress. They were advertising two specials, dollar off drafts and dollar off tacos for 'taco tuesday'. So I decided to take advantage of this, my 8 yr old son wanted a plain cheeseburger. The waitress asked him if he wanted fries with his burger and bacon. He of course said yes, I of course assumed that the fries came with the burger. The waitress never made any indication that it didn't. She also sold me on the 'special' buffalo chicken tacos (3 chicken tenders on 3 slices of lettuce in tortilla. Which she then offered me a salad, which I turned down after asking if it was extra. At that time I also told the waitress that I would be putting in an order to go for the green tomato burger (yes I will take fries with that too). Then came the bill, what should have been $32 came out to $42 with all of the 'upsells' that were not declared as 'upsells'. Who charges extra for fries instead of freshly made chips? My beer was not at the special price, and the buffalo tacos were 3 dollars more than the tacos that I originally ordered! When I questioned the waitress about this, she got surly and informed me that it was in the menu and nobody ever questioned it before. We then sat around for another 30 minutes waiting for the burger that we ordered to go to come out. I feel like I was absolutely taken advantage of and brushed off. The food is delicious, but does not warrant the terrible service and predatory tactics. Save yourself the heartache and go...
Read moreStopped in for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, I got the seat you never want, where you can see the cooks sending out the food. And sometimes it's just better to not see your food prepared. In this case, I watched the cook, big guy, lips tattoo, vaping while plating food in the window. Using the same hand to vape, that I watched him handle food with. He obviously knew it was wrong, because when he realized I was watching him, he quickly looked away and left the window. Throughout the rest of our meal, I watched him vape several more times, with same gloved hand he was handling food with. Additionally, I watched him and another cook eating frys either off plates or out of the same bowl they were using to plate food. The frys we got were cold, and even he knew it because I watched him put the back of his hand on the frys to check their temperature. Same vaping hand of course. Finally, I had asked for no tomato on my burger, however, I watched him put one on it anyway. But, when I watched my waitress go to the window, she obviously corrected him. Because I then watched him use that same gloved vaping hand, to open the burger and pull the tomato off. When she brought my plate to the table, she even acknowledged she had to tell him take it off. And for the remainder of the meal, the cook and I just made awkward eye contact as he realized the guy watching him do all these things, wasn't eating the burger he screwed up. It's unfortunate because I know it's my buddy's local place, and he spoke highly of it on our way to dinner. Luckily I'm just visiting, so no...
