My goodness, where do I even begin?! What a delightful experience! This luxurious lounge is located on the cross streets of Classy Rd. and Charming Way. This place blends a metro ambiance with southern hospitality in a way that I feel uncapable of putting into words so I will keep this short. When racking my CTE riddled brain for a comparison, I could only come up with one other example of what it’s like to be a patron of Seven 27 longue. This place will give you the feeling of taking off your ski boots, getting a boozy hot cocoa, and finding a large Adirondak chair at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain’s Ritz-Carlton. Speaking of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, my husband and I were fortunate enough to meet the (young and handsome) owner of Seven 27 in Aspen at Cloud 9. The cocktail menu is a testament to mixology at its finest. In an ode to our honeymoon, my husband and I decided to go with some French inspired cocktails. I had the Saint Tropez, and it was an absolute masterpiece—a refreshing and sophisticated balance of herbaceous, floral, and citrusy notes that make every sip a delight. My husband stayed on brand and ordered the French 27. I had a sip (okay, 5 sips, sue me!) and this cocktail is a true showstopper, both inappearance and taste. The Empress 1908 Gin,with its signature deep indigo hue, immediately captivates the eye, while its botanical depth sets the perfect stage for a floral, citrusy, and effervescent experience. When the time came for our meal, we were left with a predicament. Typically, the word predicament has a negative connotation. This was not the case for us! Looking around at all the other tables and their orders, we were faced with the challenge of having to decide what to order. It all looked so good! It doesn’t help that I already struggle with indecisiveness (I waited until I was 39 to marry my husband). At long last, I decided to embrace my inner e-40 (yayyy areaaa) because I saw something on the menu that featured some yak (cognac). I elected to go with the filet mignon with cognac sauce, pave potatoes, and seasonal grilled veggies. The filet mignon is cooked to absolute buttery tenderness, with a perfectly seared exterior that locks in its deep, beefy richness. Each bite melts in your mouth, enhanced by the luxuriously smooth Cognac sauce, which adds a subtle warmth and depth with its velvety finish. Te true star of the show was the pave potatoes. They are a revelation—layered, crisp on the outside, and impossibly creamy on the inside, offering the perfect contrast to the richness of the steak. While I decided to embrace my inner e-40, my husband decided to welcome his inner bottom by ordering the Catch of the Day. This day just so happened to be the rainbow trout. While we are proud members of the community, I even said ‘ayo pause!’—Idigress. Come what may, the rainbow trout is expertly prepared, with a perfectly crispy, golden-brown skin that gives way to a tender, flakyinterior. Its mild, buttery richness is complemented beautifully by the fennel cloud, which adds a subtle, aromatic sweetness and a touch of ethereal lightness that enhances rather than overpowers the fish. This is not just a seafood dish—it’s an experience. whether you’re a seafood aficionado or someone looking for a refined yet approachable dish, this Rainbow Trout with Fennel Cloud and Lemon Beurre Blanc is an absolute must-try. Last, the service is impeccable, with a team that is both attentive knowledgeable. They ensure that every guest feels welcomed and well-cared-for (the same reasons I chose my husband), enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, The Seven 27 Lounge provides a refined yet inviting atmosphere that makes it a must-visit destination when traveling to Pinehurst. Bottom line, Seven 27 provokes feelings of ecstasy, class and comfort! My husband and I...
Read more:UPDATE: Staff contacted us to have a redo. Everything was absolutely excellent, from the cocktails to the dessert! Hubby and I both had the veal tenderloin which was tender delicious. Also had the pissaladiere that featured olives, red onion and olive oil for a starter. We were also able to try the borscht, accented with fresh dill and a dollop of sour cream which was the soup of the day, a must try. We ended the night with a cappuccino, a lemon meringue tart with lavender and a Dubai chocolate cheesecake, both were tasty. A big thank you to the staff and management for making it a wonderful evening. So glad we went back! I would highly recommend.
-Previous review- Went out for our anniversary, cocktails were good, food was decent (filet was cooked to temp ravioli was good, herb lemon shrimp was a little bland and the fried brie/cheese ball was boring but okay.) Service was lacking, there was one waitress for the seated dinners and people in the lounge. After we had our food we didn’t see our waitress anymore, she was too busy in the lounge and completely forgot about us, husband had to actually go downstairs and ask her for our check. This place is a better lounge than restaurant, there isn’t enough attention to service. I was interested in dessert but by the time my waitress finally came back I lost the desire because of the wait and figured it wasn’t worth it. Overall I was very disappointed with my experience. Live music was nice, service/waitstaff needs better direction and could use some work. The waitress apologized and said everyone kept asking her for stuff. To be fair, they were very busy. I would only go back to the lounge but would not recommend...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this place out for dinner last night. We were initially excited because the atmosphere inside was very cool! Despite being pretty packed, we were able to get seating outside right away.
The outside area had a ton of flies and no fly fans to “shoo” away the flies. The wall that separates the outside seating from the other businesses are these large plants that seem to attract bugs back there.
We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 30 minutes for it to come out. We waited another 45 minutes for our appetizer. We completely finished our bottle of wine while waiting for the main dish which didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes after that.
The food was okay, but the portions were very small and overpriced for what you were getting. It took another 20 minutes for us to get the check. What was supposed to be a nice local dinner turned into a 2+ hour ordeal.
We understood they were pretty busy as it was a Friday night, but we didn’t expect to be there for as long as we were. The other customers outside seemed to have the same lengthy delays as us. Overall, we were disappointed with...
