Joto's Pizza - Belcher — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

Had a very bad experience today. My father and I have a tradition of ordering a pie from here when I'm back in town. Ordered a pizza at 2:53pm, and was told 45-50 minutes. At 4:00pm I called to inquire about the status of the pie, and the woman who answered was very rude. She told me that I ordered at 3:09, and they were "well within" their time. I kindly responded by telling her that I ordered 16 minutes before that (2:53) and EVEN going by her time, its still been over. She fights with me about the time, and until I ask her to please send me a cell phone number so I can screenshot my caller ID, she stops fighting with me. I tell her if its going to be any longer, Id please like to cancel the order. She tells me that the Pizza is already on its way and its too late. 18 minutes later, at 4:18 the pizza finally arrived. Thats 1 hour and 25 minutes for a pizza which was cold BTW. Now if the woman was more apologetic or gave us a heads up, it wouldn't have been so bad. But fighting with me, and calling me a liar when I have proof is just ridiculous. NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN

For many years we ate at the Joto's on 49th St. We moved out of FL a couple years ago and returning to dog sit for friends we were excited to enjoy Joto's pizza again, so 1st night off we went. Oh no! Joto's was closed. Well, happily there were 2 more Joto's so we phoned in a large Pepperoni so we could bring home and enjoy by the pool. So excited for a wonderful Joto's pizza again. NOPE! This was probably the worst pizza I have ever eaten. So very disappointed. We ordered a regular crust that was paper thin with a thick wide crust with no ingredients. Very few pepperoni and we had ordered a little extra sauce - but there was NO sauce! Did someone read the order as 'no sauce'! Oh well - we learned. Will grill my own pizza creation next time. Something I have learned - any REAL pizzeria will offer a Marinara pizza. One of the original pizzas of Napoli. If a pizza joint offers a Marina pizza - they know what they are doing. Pizza is ok and fair for the price and the dining area is good space too.

Two major reasons for 1 star are: The staff doesn't give two sh!*s and 2. on 5 of the 8 TVs have FOX NEWS running and staff refuse to change it...

Call me crazy but I like to go out and get away from this 24hr news cycle we live in. If you're going to have a News channel why not local Bay News 9? Would rather see weather and local news over mainstream propaganda. We nicely asked to change to anything else. But staff refuse like its a policy to have it running.
