For being a brand new diner in the area. This places ship is sinking b4 it leaves the dock. We went on a Friday around 10:45. Not a soul in the place. 2 bodies behind the counter. We weren't greeted as we walked in so I loudly said GOOD MORNING. To that the elder women behind the counter said take a seat anywhere. Well sure we had our pick of tables as none of them were occupied. The waitress came to our table and briefly greeted us b4 asking our drink order. My friends ordered coffee and I asked for an iced coffee which I was told they didn't have. Ok? Ice, glass , coffee. Iced coffee. She comes back and brings the coffee for my friend's and water I requested and then says in fact Yes, we can make an iced coffee which I then declined, which means for them lost sale. Rumor has it, this place baked its own bread. Wow. 1 would think amazing. What was amazing about it isn't stated anywhere on the menu nor from communicating with the server. We enquired about it and all she said was yes we do bake our own bread. No further description. Zero explanation. On the menu for lunch we're about 20 sandwich offering. Not 1 stated what it was served on. I asked what soft drinks they carried. The answer was Coke or Diet Coke in a can and we have syrup. Ok.... no flavor of syrups offered. No iced tea, or lemonade or any other soft drink was offered. My 1 friend ordered the Waffle special. Waffle 2 eggs with bacon or sausage. Remember nobody else was in here and when she received her plate the eggs were cold. My other friend and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger special. $11.49. All though the burger tasted like fresh ground beef the portion was less then 4 Oz. The 2 pieces of bacon were actually 1 small piece split in 2. The bun was a cheap store brand hamburger bun. And was accompanied with about 15 crinkle cut fries. They also have soda fountain with I guess ice cream because again nowhere was there any description or price for what possibly might be available. For a place open 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I can't imagine they'll sell very many sundries. All I'm all we definitely will not return. We live in a very close mobile community with over 300 homes. Golden opportunity for them. We shared our experience with others. So definitely they lost so many sales. A simple good morning would have started this visit in a...
Read moreThe staff was friendly and the diner was very cutely decorated. It definitely felt like a retro diner. I wasn't impressed with the food, it wasn't awful, but also wasn't great. Their menu is small and doesn't have a lot of options especiallyin the sandwich department. I had the cuban and fries, my mom had breakfast. The cuban was OK, they do slice the meat fresh, which is nice, but it just didn't have a ton of flavor. The bread was dry, maybe pressing it with butter would have added more flavor to the cuban. My fries were hot and fresh. My mom's eggs were a little overcooked, which they fixed immediately. The breakfast potatoes were not good at all. They were overcooked and coated in a lot of what I can assume is paprika. It was a red spice that covered everything on the plate and had a slightly bitter taste. The toast was the highlight, because they make their own white bread in house. My biggest complaint was the drinks, I personally hate when restaurants serve sodas by the can. I drink a lot of fluids when I eat a meal, and at $3.50 a can that's very expensive. In my opinion all sit in restaurants should have a soda machine, not serve cans. This added a lot to our bill. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very clean. If I go back I'd like to see more choices on the menu, and please ditch the...
Read moreI woke up with a craving for pancakes and pickles! No I'm not pregnant just southern! So I was washing clothes and googled nearby establishments that could satisfy my cravings. This place popped up w/good reviews. I decided to give them a try. Upon entering the place they had diners and a steady flow of customers. The staff was very friendly and the server that assisted me was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and patient as this was my first experience here. Now about the food? Yummo! Nice big and fluffy pancakes! The raspberry mixture tastes like real fruit and not perserves. The syrup was hot and sweet. I wish I had received 2 of the containers tho because those pancakes were big! The fried pickles were some of the best I've had. They weren't overly breaded and nice cut. Not too thin or chunky. There was a lot of variety on the menu. A customer next to me ordered avocado toast. It was huge with bacon and eggs. It's a little something for everyone wanting that country comfort meal. Glad I stopped by and...
