I went to this restaurant 2x in the last 2 weeks. The first time was during the day when they weren't busy. The server that I had was great. The food was really good although the portion size was small. Then I went for dinner a week later and the server that I had was a different server, she brought out the food without my tacos, my friends food was wrong and had to be sent back, and my daughter's flour tortilla was really soggy to the point where she couldn't eat it. My daughter also ordered the chimichanga without veggies in it. It came out with veggies. When we asked for a replacement she said that it is premade and comes with veggies. Why didn't she tell us that when we asked for veggies in the first place? I had to tell her we weren't paying for it and she didn't seem to like that. When we first walked in there was a mariachi band, which was fine except that it was so loud it was giving us a headache. We couldn't even hear enough to talk. We had to be moved to the other side of the restaurant. When my daughter discovered her Chimichanga had veggies, and we were going to tell the server, it took her 20 minutes to come check on is, so my daughter ended up sitting there with no food and everyone else was done eating by the time she did. My daughter ordered 2 tacos, one was good and the other soggy. You could tell there was water on the plate and it wasn't just from the juices. We sent that one back and asked for 2 to go, one to replace the soggy one and the other to pay for. She charged us for both, and never replaced the soggy one for free. We had been there a really long time at this point so we didn't bother with having her credit the one that was soggy. After she gave us the tacos to go, we waited for 20 minutes to get our check. We ended up having to pay someone else. Horrible...
Read moreAlthough decorated this place seems cold. Very brightly lit. Tables are small with uncomfortable chairs. Walked in and one young lady said "sit anywhere." She seemed unhappy. I offered her a smile and a simple hello. She brought over some complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa had a kick to it! We sat 5 minutes or more, waiting for menus and someone to take our drink order. A gentleman walked over and with VERY broken English, asked us for our drink order. I offered him a smile and a hello as well. He finally gave us menus! We ordered chimichangas. The meal was tasty. Shredded beef wrapped in a tortilla,a side of rice, lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole. The chimichangas were rather small. One large chimichanga would have been better than 2 small. Just lots of tortilla shell versus meat. The pico was fresh and delightful. The guacamole, not so much. Seasoning overall was slightly heavy on salt, but tasty. Price was about average, but for the portion a little high. The 2 meals and 2 sweet teas $28. The place was busy, but not someplace I'd visit again. It lacked the cozy, comfort I expected and the bright florescent lighting left me feeling like I needed sunglasses. I feel like the lighting over the kitchen area was dim where it should have been bright. The servers need better customer service skills, a smile goes a long way. Maybe some hostess training would benefit as well. I guess that's what you get when you visit a restaurant located in a strip plaza. At least they were open and serving meals on a late...
Read moreI work down the street from this place, Iordered a burrito and shrimp fajitas. When I got back to work they forgot my tortillas. I called they said I could come back without any apology. I went and got my tortillas went back to work in discovering that they didn't make my burrito correctly. I called back annoyed but not rude. The lady taking my order didn't take responsibility for them messing up my order it even apologize got the inconvenience. She then placed me on hold to speak with the cook who said that he made my for correctly. I told her that it was missing ingredients regardless of what he said. She dismissed me and told me I had to bring it in to verify, I asked to speak with the manager, she refused and told me she was the acting manager, and that she wasn't going to do anything about it. Normally I don't really complain but I also feel like they over charged me since my 2 items came to a grand total of $40. I will never patronize this establishment. Besides there are many Mexican places that area way cheaper and way better quality food in the area. I'm also in the service industry and no matter the situation I always apologize got any...
