Never have I ever experienced such rude service from a server, EVER or been so disappointed. I never complain about service to other. Out of the hundred of reviews I've left, this will be my SECOND negative one! The hostess was very sweet, positive and helpful. She sat us quickly. The man behind the bar (whom I'm assuming was the sushi chef and/or bartender) was SO polite, funny and friendly. The smell was INCREDIBLE, I mean it smelled DIVINE and food looked good too.
The server, however, was NOTHING like the establishment or other employees! He walked up to me and my date and snapped at us that we needed to order right now because they were very busy. I asked him well what about our drinks? He barked at me and stuck his hand behind my date and I and slapped his I pad with his hand still sticking out pointing at us and said we are very busy I don't have time. I said very very politely (because I worked as a server for 6 years and I'm a Registered Veterinary Technician and KNOW how rude people can be so I do NOT treat people in other service industries badly) if you don't have time to server us, we can leave and go elsewhere if that will be easier for you guys and us as well. He snapped at me again, yelled at my friend and rolled his eyes and shook his head and walked away.
The guy behind the counter looked at us apologetically and mouthed sorry at us. We got up and left immediately, without saying anything further.
I have never left a restaurant like that nor have I ever encountered a server like that and it's really disappointing because it smelled delicious and looked so good and all of the other employees were amazing.
I went back and saw the reviews left recently saying there are now very rude servers working there and that is very apparent and I am agreeance with that.
I came all the way from Carolina beach and my friend came all the way from Nashville Tennessee and we were hoping to enjoy a good meal after Carowinds at least but One bad Apple ruined a bunch and we took our business elsewhere. I never leave reviews like this but I thought management should know that one person caused two people to be very shocked and upset and to leave and we were ready to spend a lot of money.
Please please tell the rest of your staff they were wonderful and amazing but that male server should probably find something else to do outside of customer service, it does not seem...
Read moreNew review here: I tried this restaurant a h again after one year. Picked up order and rice is terribly undercooked!! Hard is a good way to describe. How hard is rice to make? With the size and prices, this shouldn't be.
Older review here: Never experienced such a disorganized staff as Lee Cafe! Our family ate here last night, and we ordered Spring Rolls and Dumplings, which were brought to the table, and after we finished, we each ordered off the dinner menu. Twenty minutes later, the waitress brought one meal to the table, left the food, and walked off. The rest of us sat waiting for our food, but nothing came. My husband felt uncomfortable eating New Year's dinner alone, so he waited. Another meal came ten minutes later, and the waitress put the plate in front of me without even asking who ordered the food, again walking off. Rude or just plain ignorant is my question?! What kind of service is this? I was last to actually receive my food and asked everyone at our table to please start eating or the food would be cold. My food arrived 15 minutes after my husband's, and this was our family New Year's dinner. No arguing the food is good, but what about serving your customers together or communicating a delay? I have been to dozens of Chinese restaurants from New York to California, and this is the worst service I ever received regardless of the language barrier. How about some respect for your customers? P.S. we never complained, but I decided to give a review in hopes the manager or owner makes...
