Delicious bread, very nice, friendly staff, but lacking in knowledge of Italian cuisine. They probably don’t eat it, so they do not know how to make it. It is fine for Mexicans to run an Italian restaurant, but please educate and train staff. Our waitress had no idea what Carbonara is, either did the person attempting to make it. The is NO sauce in Carbonara...it is a dry dish, and certainly not an Alfredo sauce. I could not eat what I was served last night, it was awful, covered in a rich Alfredo sauce and with a mountain of salty pancetta. Pancetta is used sparingly in this dish, as it only takes a small amount of pancetta and one big egg (or two small eggs) olive oil and garlic. Carbonara is a dry sauce, as the egg wraps around the spaghetti. It is a simple dish, not full of a wet sauce. Please learn what Carbonara is or take it off the menu. The crab cakes were extremely salty too. I added a photo and recipe of what goes in actual Italian Carbonara. I probably won’t eat here again, but please do your customers the courtesy of preparing the dishes correctly. Thanks

Just had a really nice lunch here today. Very fresh bread with an amazing dipping sauce made with sun-dried tomatoes, EVOO, capers, anchovies, orange zest and spices -- even liked by my non-anchovy liking companion. Pancetta wrapped prawns were excellent, again with a delicious dipping sauce. We both had pizzas, which were wonderful, excellent quality ingredients. And super-fresh parmesan topped mine. I believe our server may be an owner, and he took great care of us. There is not much decor, with the restaurant somewhat industrial but comfortable. Air conditioning does not seem to be present, so it may not be comfortable on a warm, still day, but it was pleasant around 1:00 p.m. Will definitely return.

My wife and I decided to go for a fine Italian food after a short hike in Pinole Point. Just selected this one off the internet and we did not regret it for a minute as the food, service and room were excellent. Bread and sauce were great and we had a second serving. My wife is picky and asked for a special combination of Salmon and vegetables not from the menu and received it exactly as requested with smile and a lot of good will. My meal from the menu was Minh better than swerved by our regular Italian restaurant. And the price was reasonable! Definetly recommend this place for all

3 words, wood fire pizza🔥. The whole restaurant smelled like a delicious fireplace. The tequila lime chicken pizza with Salsa Verde and avocado was excellent. The crust was pillowey soft and matched well with the smooth avocados. I would have loved a little more salsa Verde sauce on the edge of the crust, I probably would ask for a side of it to dip the edge crust in. My wife got the penne with mushroom sauce and said it was pretty good.

The atmosphere was OK, I like that you can see the chefs making the food and you can see inside the wood fire oven. The decorations where good and the waiting area had comy couches. However the dining area is just one large room with really tall ceilings, the open ducting above gave it kind of a Chicago loft kind of feel. So not exactly an intimate setting but it's fine.

Staff was friendly and the food came out quickly once we ordered. There were a lot of staff but it was mother's day so they probably had a couple extra people there. We had two late people in our group so we waited a bit to order our food but drinks and bread came out very quickly. They have a excellent garlic Olive oil spread for the bread.

I would definitely...

I was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious my meal was tonight. We sat as a party of 3, we ordered the calamari fritti (not overly crunchy, delicious dipping sauces), Insalata Caprese (fresh, light, great flavors), spaghetti alla carbonara (I only had one bite to try because I was full but my mouth watered regardless!), rigatoni alla piemontese (this was my dish, the flavors were so good without being overly rich- I brought home half the plate to go), lasagne al forno (my boyfriend ordered this, we were each going to split our plates but ended up keeping them for ourselves! He finished this no problem, the two bites I had were exquisite). We had the tiramisu for desert which was just as good as everything else, fresh, light and tasty!

I wanted to order wine but they are still waiting on their license. The food tasted fresh, delicious and totally satisfying. The service was very prompt and friendly. We will definitely be going back for date nights and family dinners.

We are so thankful to have such a great new place open so close to home! (the food was so good, I only remembered to take photos after we...
