Rutgers Club is a restaurant on the Rutgers Club. Thought typically this location requires a membership for entry they do host special events and lunch seatings that do not require membership. The space is beautiful with clean modern design and a really well-stocked bar. I've eaten at Rutgers club for their a la carte lunch menu, their all you can eat lunch, and have attended several private/public events. Honestly, people will say what they want about Rutgers dining but I truthfully think Rutgers dining really can pull off some pretty gourmet feats. Most of the items I've tasted off their menu has truly been delightful and I would definitely consider a second bite. They serve everything from empanadas, to lobster Mac and cheese to full carving stations and build your own taco stations. I personally love their all you can rat lunch option on Thursday. I think it's about $15 a person but the food quality is great, unlimited, and of course the choices are varied. Once in a while I would find the desserts hit or miss but these last few times the textures and sugar levels were really on point. I'd probably come more often if it didn't require a membership but perhaps they'll consider changing that in the future. If you haven't been to Rutgers club, definitely give it a try!

This place is great! I know that the pandemic hit them hard. But the bartender Woody makes an amazing old fashioned and I hear a great Cosmo! The food is all fresh and always delivered piping hot or cold if it's a salad. I can't say enough good things about the staff, food and beautiful atmosphere. This is to be one of my favorite places to go and have a relaxing time. The club is fully accessible and offers parking in the rear of the building. There is an elevator that brings you to the second floor which opened into the bar and general seating area. The staff is always friendly and ready to assist. The prices are reasonable. I would suggest always calling ahead to make sure that the club is open as there are many events going on and sometimes the club closes for special events.

Bar stocked with scores of whiskeys with rare bourbon, Scotch and rye. Didn't try the food. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it closes at 8pm, which is too early for me to drop in for a post-class bourbon.

Unreliable & Constantly cancelling reservations with no notice. Have shown up, on 3 occasions, with a reservation made 10+ days in advance and been told "sorry, no table. go away".

On the rare occasion they DO seat us (RBS professors, btw); food was mediocre and often cold. Bartender is only staff member with ounce of hospitality; rest are rude & unhelpful. Gas stations have...
