Visited this restaurant for the first time and it was a complete and utter disaster from the start mostly due to the rudest waiter we have ever had dining out.
Since it was our first time we were quite shocked when we were informed about the style in which they serve. The menu is just a decoration. And you don’t know that u til you go because no where is it explained or described prior. (Website is lackiing in that department). The menu options are not what you are allowed to order. Instead you are told well we were by this horrific waiter that we had to choose a salad and a pasta and then the meal. Why would anyone want to be forced to choose things off the menu they don’t want!
Two of the 4 of us didn’t want a salad and 2 of the four of us didn’t want pasta. Or at least the pasta they were making us choose. Unfortunately I didn’t want either But the waiter insisted so I chose and didn’t eat any of it.
Asked questions of the waiter such as the menu and options and asked to speak to someone he continually said No! Asked If we could have a different menu item he said NO! Asked if we could not have the pasta split and just given to the people who ordered that and he said No! Asked if we could have different dressing for the salad and he said no! Asked him to slow down when he was speaking and repeat since he spoke faster and no one understood what he was saying… he said NO! Arrogant and rude and very unbelievably nasty to our table! Wouldn’t explain bull or Get manager as we asked several Times!
We later get a HUGE surpriss that there is an additional charge for the salad and pasta we chose. ???? We were literally told we HAD TO CHOOSE and then chose and were told it was part of our price !!! it WAS NOT. When the bill came DANIEl the waiter from hell said theres an up charge! Well Then why weren’t we told???
This restaurant experience was by far our worst nightmare! Everyone Spending almost 75 for a meal that many of us didn’t want or didn’t eat or didn’t even like??? Did I mention no refills on water or barely?
I find it pathetic that a restaurant boasts quality food atmosphere and menu when you are not able to order what you want! And then when you’re forced to order something you don’t eat or want they tell you it’s part of your meal and you are then charged extra!!! Too dark to see and I guess that is so you can’t see what’s missing from the menu-
The ending of this terrible evening was separating checks which was a disappointment. Some of us were charged for others drinks and food we didn’t eat! Then we asked for the remaining to be wrapped up and it turned out the waiter decided to split it among everyone. But if you are the one who bought the (up charge) salad and the pasta shouldn’t it be given to you!!!!
They don’t understand this concept! Two guests ordered appetizers and they did the same to them… it was their food not to be split among 4 guests!
To be honest, charging an up charge for a Caesar salad that was lettuce only is a total ripoff! And that’s what I would sun the entire restaurant experience as a total Ripoff! The waiter was so rude if I wasn’t with other guests I would have stood up to him making fun of my friends and making side rude comments and ignoring our questions or concerns.
Sadly, I find the service, quality, options and respect at a fast food restaurant is better! And that’s not the after taste you want from a place you...

3 hour table time limit for 7 people and we needed every minute
I had a group of girls (7) get together. We all arrived separately and were seated in the upstairs dining area. Everything was fine until the last 2 girls arrived when it took 20 minutes for them to get an order in for a drink, which only occurred because the server arrived at our table to take appetizer orders. The appetizers took a little while to make it to the table, but once they did, they were very good except for the carpaccio, in which it was more like a salad. We ordered oysters, meatballs, baked provolone, greens and beans. Into our appetizers, I realized I wanted the appetizer that wasn't on the menu and one of the specials for the night. I placed the order with our server and it was taking quite a long time, so I asked about it. I dont think the server put the order in. The server asked if I wanted it to go. I replied No, I'd like to taste it, to which he said the chef was making it just then. I said I dont want it coming out with my entree, so I told the server I no longer wanted it and to take it off my bill. It showed up 30 seconds later. I took 2 bites and had it wrapped to go. The other appetizers they took to wrap up prior to this debacle took a long time making it back to our table. I had to ask where they were, only then did they bring them.
And that was appetizers.
My server asked if I was finished with my drink, to which I said yes. He took the glass and a couple of minutes later another showed up. I never ordered it because In between the taking of the empty glass and the new arriving, I ordered a Chianti. Another debacle.
Our pasta course took a long time to make it to our table, so much so that the whole appetizer debacle from the above happened while were still waiting. The servers got those orders wrong, not knowing who got which pasta. Another debacle.
The bus person entered into our private conversation making comments in regard to the topic we were having amongst ourselves at the table. A big No-No!!! Another debacle.
Main course took forever to arrive. I had the rack of lamb. It showed up like a rack of pork ribs. I would think they would have initiated the cut or cut them into lollipops of two. I had to handle them to cut them. For the price, I shouldn't have had to do all that. I have never had them served to me they way. I ate 2 and just got them to go.
We had long wating periods for our server to come to our table so often that instead of waiting, at one point, I went to the bar myself to get another glass of wine.
When our server arrived back at our table he asked if we wanted dessert. Of course if we weren't already dissatisfied to this point and nearing our 3 hour time limit, we might have said yes. We asked for our checks, of course taking a long time to arrive, we paid and left.
We were seated at 6:30 pm and were on our way out at 10:15 pm.
This was one place I heard about and had to try, but will never go back to.
Our servers need a lesson in service.
The food was good, it would have been better with a...
Read moreBizarre restaurant. Regarding the decor, it appears to be a Chinese restaurant remodeled, which doesn't exactly evoke "italian", but I had been anticipating dinner here for a long time so whatever. In my reservation, it was made known the event was for my birthday, we had even confirmed it with our waitress after giving our IDs for drinks. Spoilers! They don't do anything for birthdays, or at least nothing was offered to us. Like, not even a little bit. Okay, so why even ask?
First impressions: the reason this place is fully booked a lot of the time is because they have a grand total of about 7 tables. It's an illusion. So, we got there at 6pm. Not kidding here when I tell you there was a mouse in this restaurant, 20 minutes into our visit. Neither me nor the person I was with are particularly petrified by mice or anything, so I quietly told him. The little thing was small (thankfully), but he was under our table by the wall, and we had attempted to beckon a waiter to take care of the situation. It took about 4 tries(?!). I had never seen a mouse in a restaurant before, not even at McDonalds, and especially not at a fine dining establishment that charges over 50$ for their entrees?! In the end, the mouse crawled into a tiny cranny, and the waiter said "I'll get it later". Okay. You do that. (He didn't.) So, the food. It's not great. I really wanted to like it in the way that you really want to like anything you're about to pay more money than you should for. The pasta, I'm pretty sure, is canned, and I had gotten the Veal cutlet (about $55?), which was a grave mistake on my part. Tasted awfully like cheap country fried steak. The person I was with, however, ordered a stuffed pasta, and it wasn't half bad at all, but the sauce tasted like Ragu. By the time we had gotten our entrees, we were there for 2 hours. We didn't even order an appetizer. There's also a lot of bugs here because these simpletons keep the door open constantly.
Be wary about the wine, as this place charges 5 times the actual worth. For instance, we had ordered a bottle of the Strev Moscato D'Asti, which ran us about $79. It's $15 dollars for the bottle online. This excessive scalping is not normal. As for the service, I'm pretty sure the writers gave up on us once we saw the mouse, figuring it wasn't worth being hospitable or anything beyond the bare minimum given the first impression. I'm not sure why this place has supremely excellent reviews. Do people just have wool over their eyes? Is it because me and the guest I accompanied looked younger than 54 and weren't stock brokers? I wouldn't exactly know, but who am I to judge them? If you enjoy this restaurant, I am genuinely happy for you, but for the rest of us that desire an upscale experience when we burn our cash, literally any other...
