The view from the top, at the entrance, is beautiful. Although you'll definitely get better views from the outlooks on Grandview Ave. There are a couple of picnic tables here. That's pretty much where the nice things end. At the moment the Grandview trail is closed in one long section so you can't hike all of it and the other trails are maintained but entire sections are littered with glass (I'm lucky my dog has very rough paw pads) and there are parts with poison ivy at ankle height. They are not very fun to walk honestly and there are better choices in Pittsburgh for sure. Obviously the noises from the highways are loud but that's to be expected considering the location. There are no real views from the trails I've walked. During the week it is very calm and you'll encounter mostly people jogging or walking their dogs. Parking is on the street. There's a nice long trail through the park where people are walking babies and there's also a little park area for kids. Then there's the overlook area which is just beautiful scenic.
