I'm always around this area but it wasn't until my little brother came to visit and yelped breakfast spots is how we found Don's Diner. I must say if you're driving fast and you can definitely miss it. They have a nice selection for the menu but we came for breakfast. The price was right and the food was plentiful. I ordered home fries with peppers and onions, turkey bacon, two scrambled eggs and pancakes. The food definitely gave me food truck vibes ( I'm originally from Philadelphia) which was a plus in my book. I'm coming back, next time with my husband and son. Things we enjoyed: The music - R&B classics were playing Family owned - the daughter was our waitress and her father was the cook The people - someone gave their table up for us which was super nice The signs - all were funny to read and gave us a nice chuckle Things to know: It's cash only Bring your patience - it's small inside so there may not be a table available, they do have single bar stools where you can eat at the main long table

Amazing diner! My husband and I try to check out new breakfast spots on the weekends and we really got lucky finding Don's. From the minute we walked in we were treated like longtime friends/regulars. Our waitress, Marcie, went above and beyond to make us feel at-home and made sure our coffee cup was always full while keeping us laughing. We both tried the Wet Judy breakfast sandwiches. (Mine with bacon, my husband tried the hot sausage). Both Sammy's were perfect! Even the coffee was great-which is not usual at diners. This place is not far at all from the bike trail on the north shore (near the jail trail)- so easy to hop off for breakfast or lunch. Cash only. We certainly will be back!

Oh, man. I love this place. A classic greasy spoon. We were given very friendly, warm service even though it was our first time, and the place was clearly filled with regulars. The food had a surprisingly thoughtful arrangement, and was crazy cheap. Will definitely return here again and again!

Ok, where do I start? Let's say this place is not for the faint of heart or very young children. The owner and staff, I believe are all related, are no-nonsense, unapologetic and their attitude projects this.

The allure of this place how brash the staff is, the signage that uses choice words only suitable for adults and they encourage an adult level of comradery and wit.

The food is good home cooking, but be prepared for changes to the menu based on the mood of who's cooking and what they feel like making. No matter that is served you won't be disappointed (even if it's not exactly what you ordered and more of what the cook felt like making... Lol).

The moment you walk in you will immediately realize what your attitude and demeanor should be to navigate the entire experience.

I love the unexpected, rough and crude edge to this place. The staff owns every interaction so just sit back and...
