Baker's Dozen of Plainfield — Restaurant in Plainfield

I was in Plainfield today and spotted this place and decided to stop by on my way out of the area. What caught my eye was the sign in regard to their coffee being the "Best Coffee Period", but since I had plenty of coffee still in my travel mug, I regrettably did not get a coffee here. Based on the breakfast sandwich I did purchase, I bet the coffee would be great too. My sandwich was a bacon, egg, & cheese on a Portuguese Muffin. I asked for a hard roll but was told of other options they had instead since they didn't have hard rolls. When the woman said they had this Portuguese Muffin, it caught my interest. I asked if it was good and was told yes... She was correct. Actually, it was great! The staff was very nice and made me feel welcome like I was a regular there. When I inquired as to how long it would take to make, she said in a few shakes... I was amazed and impressed at how fast it actually was. I was in and out very fast and the sandwich was made well and tasted delicious. Next time I'm in the area, I am getting a coffee for sure and probably another sandwich too... The staff here is...

Normally I am a daily customer spend approximately $10 and is considered a good Tipper.... but for some reason today that elderly woman manager was made some remarks that word discourteous rude unprofessional and disrespectful and she was not even the employee that was waiting on me she clearly lacks the customer service skills and management skill sadly I will not be returning as a daily customer!!! She is not the type of person you want to deal with when you first wake up in the morning if you are there to get coffee to wake up start...

Have wanted to try this place ever since moving to CT and I was so disappointed! I got a hot coffee that was not only watered down but burnt, I had to throw it away because it gave me instant heartburn. I also got a egg and cheese on a croissant that was luke warm at best, the bread was so dry and the egg had a crust around the edge like it was left out at room temp for awhile. Cheese wasn't melted or anything. Very disappointed, will not be going back or recommending to anyone, one time was...
