My wife and I finally got a chance for a kid free night out last night. We selected Chop'd base solely on positive reviews (mostly all 4 1/2 stars). When we arrived it was about 30 degrees out. There were about 8-9 host/hostess at the front counter. The front appears to be very confusing as to what side you want to visit. Sports bar/"fine dining" as they stated at the counter. We decided to the fine dining side. We followed the hostess through the dining room with the elegant piano right outside to the covered patio. This area was packed and all the tables inside were empty. Hostess told us nothing about anything special going on and no signs posted. Also nothing listed online as to why the main dining room would be closed. We were sat at the very last table about 20 feet from an open door. I originally sat across from my wife however since it was so cold I sat next to her under a space heater like we were sitting in our own garage. We ordered a couple of waters and I asked the waitress why isn't anyone sitting in the main dining room because we were freezing and literally seeing our breath while sitting there. She claimed there were 2 parties booked for the main dining room but not once did we see anyone sit in there the entire time we were there. We ordered a couple steak salads since there was no way I was dropping $29 on a steak to eat it in the cold. Steak salads were in fact excellent and would highly recommend. We ate in record speed and left. On the way out I asked to speak with the manager on duty to express my dissatisfaction with this restaurant and the absolutely awful atmosphere. We felt like we were sitting in a closed in garage. I told her that we were never coming back. I told her that at least one of the 9 hostesses could have posted a sign or had communicated with us about the private parties going on because we would have turned around and left. The manager said it was on their website for months. I pulled up the website and asked her where. She said no it's on Facebook. I stated that I don't have Facebook and should not be required to have Facebook to visit their restaurant. We will definitely never go back. Looks like a cool place for summer nights with the patio but since they decided to put us out there for "fine dining" in the winter we lost all respect for this place. Everyone needs to definitely stay away in the winter time. Obviously their large parties of people that will never return is waaay more important than new people to the neighborhood that are looking for a new weekly restaurant to spend money at. If 0 stars would be available I would definitely be giving 2...

I emailed requesting the date I needed, got one email back, then couldn’t get ahold of anyone for close to 2 weeks. I probably should have just decided to go somewhere else so that’s my fault. When I originally requested the room it asks for what start time you want. I put noon. Nothing was ever communicated to me about the times I would have the room until I called with my head count 2 weeks before my event (mind you my invitations had already gone out almost 2 months before)! When the event coordinator asked me what time we would be getting there to set up she also stated we had the room from 10-3. That would have been nice to know because I would have put an earlier time on my invitations. They made sure they kept telling us we needed to be out of there by 3 in the last hour of our event which was super rude. Then, we were told to pull up in the back to load our vehicles more easily and once we were back there got grief about being back there because they supposedly had a delivery truck coming. I mean, we were rushing as it was. It’s not like we drove back there and sat there for even 20 minutes. Not once in this entire time did anyone mention the check. My husband tried to pay earlier in the party and she said it would be taken care of at the end. The event coordinator disappeared and there was some staff cleaning the room around us. I thought we’ll maybe my friend who helped host must have paid because certainly if you’re running a party business you’re gonna make sure you get your payment of $1200. Nope. We were about to drive away and someone sticks their head out the door and says is someone gonna take care of the check? Are you kidding me? You’re rushing us out and we tried to pay earlier and now as we’re about to pull away you’re asking for the payment? Absolutely not the way things should be handled. We did not do open bar so there is no reason they can’t take payment up front. I would never host a party there again. The food was ok. We got pizza. They had a ton of mismatched china that looked like it was from 1990 and quite a few of the plates were dirty. The room is super cute though, so they have that going for them.
Well, I had my shower here May 21, 2021. This place NEVER contacted me again. We’ve never been back and won’t return. You have to have a good party coordinator if you want repeat business. Shame you guys never felt it was worth it to reach out. Just wanted to make yourself look good on...

We came here wednesday night around 8:30 pm 5/25/22. We've been coming here since they opened. Pretty much satisfied with the food, beer and the service. But that night was a different story. We sat by the bar close to the kitchen door for about 5 minutes. It was a little busy for a wednesday night.
We were greeted by one of the bartenders. I don't know HER name but she was working with Austin. She has medium to long dark hair, skinny, maybe on her 40's. She served us before, she's one of those main or senior bartenders and she's always on the go and kinda rushing and on the snotty side. But we understand it's busy. But that night she CROSSED the line. Anyway, She greeted us and I said " Can I have the menu please?" She replied " I have these on my hands (holding plates) and I have put them away and that's part of my job, then I'll get to you". The look on her face and the way she said it was totally out of line. We didn't deserve that. I just asked for the menu. Then, I said " What's wrong with you I just asked for the menu". Then she replied " I was gonna get you the menu after ". I said " Why do you have to be sarcastic, we always come here" Then she said " I know you're HERE, you're THERE" Then she said "I'm sorry you felt that way" and walked away while I was talking to her and she said " I HEARD YOU ".
Then she came back " Also I have to clean this " (wiping our spot). I'm not sure what's her deal. I have never been spoken to like that with so much disrespect by just asking for a menu. I was not disrespectful, I was not rowdy. Maybe she's having a bad day or she just didn't like us. We decided to stay because my wife didn't want to go anywhere. I didn't ask for the manager and I felt like she was in charge that night. I'm still planning to come back and talk to a manager. Anyway, after that incident all of a sudden she became attentive to our table.
Mr. Barry Michael please have your employee go to customer service training or race sensitivity training. Because I wonder if SHE talk to everyone like that or just US? I hope I can give ZERO star for HER...
