I ordered a sub to be delivered at around 8:25pm on a Saturday night. I live right down the street from the store. Google maps says it’s a 5 minute drive. At 8:38 my sandwich was out for delivery according to the tracker on their website. 9:00 the store closed and my sandwich was still not here. At 9:00 we called to see where it was. That’s when the manager said “i dont know, it will be there soon. We have 6 orders that just came in.” Waited another half an hour and still no sandwich so we called back. That’s when the manager of the store, Adam as I was told, was extremely rude and laughed about the situation. When we asked where it was he again said “i dont know, it will be there soon” my fiancé had to ask him to call his driver to ask where he was as my sandwich had been in their car on the way for 45 minutes. We found out the driver was stuck at a train so we asked if we were going to get our order refunded or what was going to happen and the manager laughed at us and said “yeah that’s not how this works, i’ll cancel your order and they won’t bring your food if that’s what you want” and then proceeded to tell us he couldn’t give his store owners name, a phone number to call to talk to someone higher, or his name. All while being extremely rude and laughing at the situation. I had people over, 7 people, while this manager was on speaker talking to me the way he was. We were never rude. We just wanted to know where the sandwich we paid for was. We then called the corporate office and were told the franchise owner would get back to us in 24 hours. It has now been 72 and we have heard nothing back but they sent a gift card. That’s not what I want, I want to talk to someone about my experience, I want an apology for what happened and the way I was treated, not for them to just send a gift card and sweep it under the rug. Read moreI would actually like to give this place zero stars. We just went there and online it says they open at 11am. My husband went to the door at 11:05am and it was locked. He waited a little bit and he said there were people in there just looking at him. They were doing things but never acknowledged him. They could have at least told them if they were opening at a later time and there was no sign information about what time they do open.
I called at 11:18am because I was still upset they did this and confirmed that they do open at 11am. So why were the doors locked and why did they just look at my husband and not let him in when it was past 11? I worked at a JJ for 3 years in the city so I know exactly how my food should come, and definitely any sandwich delivered should NOT be smushed so bad that you can't tell what's bread and what is meat or cheese. An unwrapped sandwich should never come out of the bag DRIPPING with oil, and most definitely should NOT be made on day old bread. If you forgot to proof or bake fresh bread then you wait until fresh comes out, not use yesterday's bread!
