I typically do not write reviews, and positive reviews are less likely, but i am going to take the time to show my appreciation. I do not live in the area and wanted to grab a quick bite before an appointment. The first thing i noticed (at this McDonalds) was a large AD (on the window) offering up to $30,000 in tuition assistance. McDonalds jobs are generally entry level and the people that need entry level jobs are YOUNG people in order to build a resume and pay for school. I love that Mcdonalds is doing this. I walked in to the Mcdonalds, and a small black girl greeted me with a wide smile which is extremely rare for the fast food service industry. She seemed new as a manager had to help her at the register, but i did not mind. While i was waiting for my food, i could not help but notice that that most of the employees were young people that were in their high school or college years. This warmed me up as i waited, seeing young people work these type of jobs is how it should be. Forty year old immigrants take jobs away from our youth and the arguement is nobody wants to work those jobs. This is a perfect example for why that line of thinking is not true. Pay a decent wage? Help with college? Give young people the opportunity to work entry level jobs? While i waited, the little black girl swept and cleaned until other customers came in. The bathroom was very nice as well as the couches. And tables. There was a couple of tvs as well! I did not feel like i was at a "typical" McDonalds. My food took several minutes, and the little black girl felt bad, so she brought me out more food, free of charge. Every interaction she had was with a big smile! I finished my food and was walking out of the door when she said, "thank you sir, have a great day." I wish i got her name to give her the proper credit she deserves! I am shocked at this McDonalds all the positives it has. Whoever manages or owns this store is doing a great job, hiring young people and keeping the place up and tidy like a high class restaurant. Way to go!...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible, to start off the whole experience, they hate when teens come in (which is the dumbest thing ever considering it's build next to subdivisions and has free wifi). Generally they will immediately kick us out or give us fifteen minutes to eat and get out, which quite frankly isn't enough time to actually enjoy a meal. We are kids who just go there to get food eat and leave, but we're treated like absolute garbage because of one or two groups, which are banned fairly quickly. They won't even give water cups to us anymore because they're afraid we'll get soda instead of water, it's summer and kids need to stay hydrated, not everyone always has money to pay for a drink. We had one person there that told us to leave within 15 minutes at about 9:00pm right before two teens walked in and tried to use the bathroom, she called the police and that's the last time I will be spending money there. Sorry McDonalds but teens will be voting with our dollars. We are done being treated like garbage by your employees. To clarify this is the Plainfield, Illinois location just off of 135th street across from Walkers Grove Elementary School and next...
Read moreService was super friendly, and relatively fast! Fries were fresh and hot, so were the kids chicken nuggets. Our burgers were fresh and had the correct toppings! Even our drinks were correct, and the cups weren't even sticky.
Everything was great until we were splitting out the fries. Our small fry got a small fry and our oldest got her large. The large my wife and I were going to split wasn't in the bag. These fries aren't a buck anymore, get them in the bag!
Also missing were the sauces for the nuggets. Which is a shame, because the nuggets were truly good as cluck. Would have been even better if those twenty five cent sauces were included.
This would have been a five star visit.. AT a McDonald's, not FOR a McDonald's, if everything was in the bag. Sadly, between the sauces and fries, three dollars of our twenty seven dollar McDonald's stop was missing. That's eleven percent of the order incomplete. I'll give you a 78% C+ and three stars for that one. 11% off for the missing items, and 11% off for charging me for...
